Icky Thump is not an example of PissTakeRap. There\'s nothing about the lyrics that suggests that- the song doesn\'t claim to be a rap or incorporate any \"urban\" slang or posturing seen in even the worst raps. The instrumentation also doesn\'t imply it\'s a rap- it doesn\'t have a hip-hop beat and lacks any cliched rap instrumentation such as {{Sampling}}, [[ACappella Beat Boxing]], record scratches, etc.

The sorta-spoken bridge referred into the example is a sort of talk-singing that is similar to things commonly done by folk singers such Music/BobDylan, Music/WoodyGuthrie, etc. Since The White Stripes are heavily influenced by this older rock/folk type stuff (there\'s a Music/BobDylan cover on their first album), it is far more likely that this is where that passage is coming from.

Definitely gonna have to agree on that. At this point, the remake has all but encompassed the original.
