\\\"There is nothing in the trope, to my knowledge, that says the villain cannot have a reason or must do it just because \\\'he\\\'s a monster.\\\' He has to do horrible things, period. The thing we\\\'re split on is if his excuse justifies him any more.\\\"

Well let\\\'s have a looksee.

Complete Monster, first paragraph:

\\\"This is it. The end of the line for tropes about evil. Simply, there is nothing worse than being this. Trying to put a value to how horrible the qualifications to be a Complete Monster (bold-italics necessary, for reasons soon to become obvious) are is like trying to assign Bill Gates a credit score: it becomes a moot point. This is not the villain who is designed to be comic, or tragic, or even so awesome you can\\\'t help but root for him. This is the villain who is so repulsive and completely irredeemable, that the only satisfying end for him is a death just as horrible as he is... or hopefully worse.\\\"

Is Sasuke at the absolute bottom of how horrible a villain can possibly be? Because that is the thing this trope is aiming for, we have a hundredsomething villain tropes, this one is rockbottom. When everything fails to sufficiently describe your villainy, this is where you go. I\\\'m sorry but Sasuke at very least can be considered \\\"designed to be tragic\\\", and could have been much worse evilwise still.
