I just re-watched the scene on BluRay and you\'re absolutely correct. Gideon\'s claws are out the entire time. The flourish of him going from closed fist to open open hand complete with AudibleSharpness sound effect, gives the impression that the claws are \"popping\" out even though they aren\'t.

I added AudibleSharpness a while ago, so it seems that ArtisticLicenseBiology is actually an incorrect example.

EDIT: Unless there are objections, I\'ll remove the ArtisticLicenseBiology example with explanation.
