As I said the first time I deleted this entry: it seems like little more than blatantly opinionated bashing, and fails to explain how a single underlying problem in \'\'Star Wars\'\' got out of control and led to SeasonalRot. Case in point: \"Sequel to a movie that wasn\'t universally beloved by everyone\" is \'\'not\'\' an AudienceAlienatingPremise, and really shouldn\'t be potholed as such. Even ignoring that, this entry outright says that the SeasonalRot of \'\'Star Wars\'\' started in \'\'Film/TheForceAwakens\'\' (\'\'\"It\'s been noted that \'\'The Force Awakens\'\' itself could have had an AudienceAlienatingPremise and faced backlash on levels similar to \'\'The Last Jedi\'\' if the audience \'\'knew\'\' [[AllforNothing what it]] [[ShaggyDogStory entailed]] at the time\"\'\'). By definition, a FranchiseOriginalSin is an issue that takes root \'\'before\'\' a series begins to noticeably decline in quality. One of the requirements for the trope is that an editor must explain why the issue wan\'t initially a problem; otherwise, it\'s just SeasonalRot. Here, the editor seems to do nothing but complain about why \'\'The Force Awakens\'\' was a horrible film, and why \'\'The Last Jedi\'\' was even worse. That\'s not what this page is for.
