Hmm... I still prefer option 3. Not only does it sidestep the difficult issue of what Aversions are notable, but I've found another reason to prefer it: that the element of his characterization being described is deeply rooted in the SophisticatedAsHell example, with that example really being the one in-film occurrence that implies he's been to a shrink, and with the [[WordOfGod Twitter statement]] being little more than a confirmation that this implication was intentional on the part of the writers.

I think they have a place in main trope pages and character sheets, but only to add flavor to examples that can clearly be placed in the work, not as a source of examples in itself. While definitely still of great interest, after-the-fact assertions by the authors must be kept subordinate to the actual work being analyzed.
