ToughActToFollow is about a series that is ''so'' good, so universally beloved or acclaimed, that being able to repeat or surpass that success seems impossible. It has nothing to do with sales, really (because lots of things can sell well and then become derided or hated--see ''Film/ThePhantomMenace'' for example. The definition of the trope and the spirit of the trope are about a story which is seen as the pinnacle of a creator's work to the point that there's almost nowhere to go but down.

Tropers/GrigorII, I notice that this is the second time (I'm aware of) that you've basically tried to shill the first ''Comicbook/CivilWar'' storyarc. The other time was on YMMV.CaptainAmericaCivilWar, where you added the example of the Venezuelan article which said that the movie was disappointing for not following the comics more closely. I defended your point there, but ''here'' this is starting to look like a SingleIssueWonk.
