Wait...did they publish the title or develop it?

Just publish it. Later in the interview there's an exchange that goes:

So, I take it you’re not going to work with Hit Maker anymore?

They submitted some concepts, but we rejected all of them so far. Maybe they will make some titles with another company and improve their skills.

Based on the interview, sound like it came to them from their parent company, ie: N1 Japan.

How are you picking out games to localize between titles developed from your parent company like Last Rebellion and third party games like the Atelier series?

Last Rebellion is from their parent company.

Oh yeah, NIS America doesn't make games at all, they just translate them and invest in them.

Both Clarste AND Super Dimensionman are right. The actual game was developed by Hit Maker, an outside studio, together with Nippon Ichi Software.

On that note, that comment really solidifies my NISA fangirlishness.

Okay, guys. I'm thinking of buying Disgaea 3, but there's a catch. I am without a means of international purchase, so I can't get it off Amazon or something like that. I have a way of buying it, but the problem is, it's full price, as in, 60 euros.

My question: Is it worth it? I love the other games to death, so I don't doubt that the same will be true for this one, but 60 euros is kinda much :/

Given how expensive games are in Australia as a matter of course, I probably have a slightly skewed perspective on the matter, but I would say that yes, it's absolutely worth it.

Alright then. Another question, how long is the main storyline of D3? And what's there to do in the postgame?

At a guess, I think my most recent playthrough took about 20 hours, from the start of Chapter 1 until the start of the Epilogue. None of that was level grinding, and I skipped almost all of the cutscenes.

I've never played the postgames of the earlier games, but from what I've heard, you can do much the same things as in those. It's easier to unlock the Land of Carnage than it is in Disgaea 2. There's a new feature called "Reverse Pirating" in the Item World, which I don't really understand. There's two series of Extra Maps instead of just one, and unlockable extra-difficult "X-Dimension" versions of most of the main storyline maps. There's a whole lot of content in there if you can stand the much and sundry grinding some of it takes.

I wouldn't be considering a Disgaea game if I were. Looks like I might get this after all.

Prinny Superhero class?

AWESOME.

This is the correct reaction. Aside from being conceptually awesome, I've found them to be fairly awesome in gameplay as well. They don't have the brute force of some of the other classes, but they're very mobile.

On a side note, I feel that you should be able to customize your pirate ship in a way that you can have one of those cannons like in Red Alert 3 where they can launch your party members somewhere on the field.

And then you fill it with Prinnies.

I think you can, in what I think was the first trailer there was a few seconds showing the pirate ship in what a appeared to be an editor.

Ooh, if you could find a link of that sometimes, I'd love to see it.

How awesome would a Prinny bombardment be, knowing that they're shot out of a cannon instead of just, well, summoned?

I can't seem to find it, but according to this subbed trailer the game actually will be about war if the game's sub-title is to be believed.

That's been the subtitle for every single game in the series. The subtitles only change for the English versions. In Japan it's simply Makai Senki Disgaea, Makai Senki Disgaea 2, Makai Senki Disgaea 3, etc.

It's been known for some time that a main theme of this game is politics, like D3's theme was high-school. IIRC.

They're probably the best class to have move through the Item/Class Worlds
