Gah! Why are these games always exclusive to consoles I don't have?

The only game of theirs I have is Disgaea DS.

How are you playing most of Nippon Ichi's releases without a PS 3? Seriously, the company's games are mostly exclusive to the system, so it's not as if this is breaking a pattern or anything.

Disgaea first started out since PS 2, duh

Odd case. We usually don't tag the full title ("Disgaea" instead of "Disgaea: Hour of Darkness" and so on) but the number after "Dimension" confuses me. I'd say just tag it "Disgaea Dimension 2", but if that is too long, I'd be fine with "Dimension 2". (If I understand what you are referring to)

I wonder if this means that Hour of Darkness is retroactively Disgaea Dimension 1? I think that has already been asked before.

Hey Disgaea Dimension 2 is shorter than Hyperdimension Game Neptunia. I don't think we will have a naming porblem.

I see no reason why TV Tropes wouldn't just use the full name.

I thought you were referring to Tvtropes hence why I brought it up. Sorry for the miss understanding. And boo I was looking through the Disgaea fanfiction section on Fanfiction.net and there aren't any good stories, well a few but they aren't finished or are dead fics.

I am unsure as to what the angel game is meant to be. Is it a dungeon crawler? A strategy game? What?

To my understanding (as well as what I've heard about ZHP), it's basically a propped up Roguelike (randomized level map designs, significant punishment for screwing up and/or being reckless, etc.) with recent Disgaea elements added to it.

Here's a let's play of Zettai Hero Project if you haven't played it.

Hmm. Well, I haven't heard anything about it being like ZHP until now...which makes me conflicted, as it's now in a genre I've never played before, and thus wouldn't know if I like.

...Ah well.

Also, Compile Heart's Monster Monpiece may not be as bad as we originally thought. Man I really need to stop drawing conclusions on Compile Game's until screen shots and gameplay show up.

I will wholly admit Burn that the thought did indeed cross my mind. I like I said before, I fell into a mode of thinking that I shouldn't have done. So I apologize for that. Got to be more careful from now on.

I think I've simply learned to accept that all of Compile Heart's games will have groan-inducing premises (and will always be marketed using a scantily-clad female protagonist). Whether or not they have substance is to be decided later.

Thus why I didn't jump to dismiss the game.

Eh, true. I don't think I've seen a game from them that I haven't at least been curious about.

Okay I just got done playing 2 matches (against Ai's) in Sword Girl online and I can come to this conclusion. IF Compile's Monster Game is like Sword Girl Online, then I say it may be a keeper. I just hope Compile's game removes the RNG factor that is extremely prominent in Sword Girl online. For those who don't know, you can't control what your cards attack in Sword Girl online. Annoying, just a little but considering it's being played on a browser and requires no installation, I guess I can see why it's all random. Can't wait to see how Compile's card game turns out.
