That bugged me too, especially since I wanted Cirno to win once the second song kicked in.
I find all the theorizing on the previous page that everybody's just bored out of their minds and recognize that there's no consequences both funny and a pretty good description. Especially everything Wraith Magus said. Especially the bit about Tenshi.
edit: If it helps, that player was fighting the CPU (on lunatic, mind you). So it might just be a flaw in the AI.
edit: PS, on the subject of UNL: Is it me, or does Utosho have some of the worst spriting you've ever seen in a commercial game? Also, I find it hilarious but also somewhat disconcerting how much of a level in badass Cirno seems to have taken for this game; the freaking stage one boss famed for her weakness beats up the nuclear powered final boss of SA and that's not even the final boss of her story mode! Then again, don't mind me, I'm that guy who always sits in the corner why everybody writes Suwanko getting messed up despite her being an extra stage boss and a god. I totally confess to being a Suwanko fan.

Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Cirno's a stage 2 boss, technically. But really, all the story routes of UNL just seem increasingly bizarre. Giant catfish?
Meiling did eat one of those in SWR for dinner.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!⑨ didn't use her cards because she's an idiot, is my guess. The AI is probably like that intentionally.
Sakamoto demands an explanation for this shit. But that was the lunatic AI. It's supposed to be hard, not stupid.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)... "Suwanko"?
I hope that's not supposed to be a pun because ._.
The AI is widely accepted to be retarded in all the Touhou fighting games so far. Utsuho and Suwako are hit particularly hard because they have unorthodox movesets which require precise timing and planning ahead- two things which the SWR AI is completely incapable off. Really, they wouldn't have been given their overpowered Secret A.I. Moves if they could play like decent humans.
The other alternative would be having it cheat 100% of the time like in ZUN's own 'fighting' games.
While playing Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, I have come to a number of conclusions. The first is that Suika is freakin' adorable. The second is that Alice is a total badass. Now if only I could manage to find an avatar that accurately conveys how awesome she is... fanon!Alice is lame.

Alice's personality depends on the type of game she's in. The main games have her as a generally nice person that enjoys snarking with/at Marisa, the fighting games have her acting somewhat misanthropic. Her characterization in IN is fairly close to the general fanon version.
What I'm saying is, I don't like her as some sort of pathetic friendless Marisa-stalker.

Oh, that fanon version of Alice. Yeah, I don't like that one either.
New avatar time, I think.
Damn, she is fun to play in SWR. All those dolls all over the place, shooting Frickin' Laser Beams.
Anyway, I guess according to ZUN she is a bit of a jerk who doesn't care much for other people. Which, really, is pretty much the exact opposite of that particular interpretation of her. IMHO being a self-reliant and kind of cold type of person makes her more badass.

By the way, I know we were basically doing remixes, but I really wanted to put this one up here, as well. D'awwwwwww.
Edit: I keep getting the mental image of Remilia as Laharl. Probably helps that I actually do have an image on my hard drive of Remilia as Lahral.

I'm pretty much a sucker for stories about the characters meeting, especially the whole Scarlet Devil Mansion. So that was pretty awesome. I couldn't help but think "that's not how it ends!" though. Also, the image of Remilia using a spear is sort of interesting, although I can see why.
Edit: Also D'awwwwwww of course. I assumed that was a given but I guess should probably mention it.

Could I see this picture of Remilia as Laharl?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Shit, I've got to stop watching that song. I have no idea why, I still tear up near the end of it.
Ooh, I love stories about the Scarlet Mansion. And nice tune to it as well.

Finally at home, where streaming works. That video is great!
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Hmm, Cirno and the Scarlet Mansion-group do get a lot of attention...
It's most probably a case of First Installment Wins.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!A large part of it is that Ia MP had to fill out it's roster solely with characters from the first two games.
Well, both Cirno and Meiling are clearly just additions made to please the fans despite their irrelevance to the plot and setting (I hear ZUN was actually slightly annoyed that Tasogare Frontier decided to put Meiling into the game), and both of them happen to be from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. I just thought it was interesting to note every single boss after Rumia from that game gets to be playable.
Now something bugs be about Faw's video: Why didn't ⑨ use any card, while Suwako was spamming with them?
