"A god in every blade of grass." It's just that most of them are nameless and powerless. If someone starts worshiping that blade of grass for whatever reason, they develop an identity. And if that god stops being worshiped for whatever reason they become nameless and powerless again.
Edit: A Tsukumogami is the same kind of nameless spirit, inhabiting the tool, but that spirit turned youkai due to mistreatment. This kind of religious worldview is called animism: everything in the world possesses a soul.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI...never considered that. I was under the impression they were organic, living species like humans, animals, etc. Or maybe they're both? I forgot to take into consideration that "god" is more like job/status/title rather than species.
They're ancient humanlike species who happen to be gods, like how Sanae is a human who happen to be a god, and how that one tree in Wa HH is a tree that happen to be a god. Did I get it right this time?
Somewhat related, so Sanae can totally split herself up if she were worshipped at different places right?

No, they're just gods. They've never been anything but gods.
That actually explains everything.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."Aren't the Lunarians capable of dying from unnatural causes though?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Why are they so afraid of impurities then? Aren't gods immortal as long as they get enough faith?
Also, isn't the Netherworld technically "purer" than the Moon itself is, since the Moon is just an artificial Pure Land?

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I don't think it's ever been said that gods can't die.
And that is not even counting the Hourai Immortals.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."gods are weird

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Apparently, there has been done more to U Li L PS 4 version than simply adding Reisen. From some of ZUN's recent comments it seems a lot might happen in her story and that some of it required quite some coding to get right, supposedly some scene that was impossible in the current version of the engine. While I myself don't know what to make of it, what it does do is make me worry even more that we will not see this in the PC version.
"Something that the programming didn't previously allow" doesn't necessarily mean something big and meaningful is happening. It could just be something like having three people talking in the same scene.
And we already knew that it was meant to be a follow-up to LoLK, and presumably act as some kind of epilogue to ULiL. Since they've noted several times by now that the incident still hasn't been resolved.
That's why I say I don't know what to make of it since I know ZUN well enough as a writer in that I know he is the kind that likes to keep things low key and never go for pomp and pinage. But at the same time, he seems to try this time since they had to do a lot of new music and ZUN stating that he crammed everything he wanted to into Reisen's scenario.
Nothing on Danbooru for either Ringo + beetle or Ringo + The Beatles.
From deviantart there is a low-quality joke and one what doesn't acknowledge the joke. She is apparently a singer. And one more just because.

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru!I just realized a question that I probably should've asked earlier. What kind of goddess is Hecatia? Is she an amatsukami or a completely different being altogether?
Murdering time and space. Now on Twitter.I guess it depends if all gods follow same rules or they are based on any given mythology. Then again, if a snake all the way from India got transported to Gensokyo after eating a human, I have no clue how far Gensokyo's influence really reach out.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! The most important thing is that Hecatia is considered the strongest Touhou character by ZUN.
Was reading up on foxes and found out that their mutual rivalry with tanuki isn't just a mythological thing, quoting the Wikipedia red rox article:
No wonder Mamizou holds a grudge against foxes.
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."
I.e. if everyone considers you a god, then by definition you're a god.
I think it's more like the universe itself thinks the Amatsukami are awesome - even the grass and the clouds feel humbled in their presence.
