I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.

I already used Hylarn's variation. Two chapters are ready, but for some inexplicable reason my image editor decided to save them at 10% higher quality than usual, which tripled the filesizes at no noticeable change in quality (making it take longer to upload). I'll probably fix that for the final release, but I'm not gonna redo every single file right now.

I haven't read every post or the sample, but I support "ice magical energy", then "ice energy" if there's any repeat appearance.

Sending-Off Lantern? Oh, that's the translation of hyakumonogatari.com. But "Send-Off" seems to be useable as a noun in itself, so I used "Send-Off Lantern" for my TH 14.3 post. Do you think the "-ing" is necessary? It does seem to make the meaning clearer.

My translation for the title is "The Short-Lived Seven Wonders", with the nana fujishigi themselves translated as "seven mysteries", to convey that ZUN had purposefully differentiated the title using English words. Perhaps there's a better word than "short-lived"?

BTW, I'm actually thinking of translating the FS Vol.2 Omake first - you should have it, right? So that we can score a first victory, which would be helpful to our morale ha ha ha. But that also depends on whether there's any spoiler for unfinished chapters there.

And this time the fake story summary absolutely needs translating.

Oh, I was actually using the title as a guide to call them the "seven wonders". Seven Mysteries sounds more natural to me because ghost stories aren't exactly "wondrous".

Send-off does sound better. I didn't really think about it much. While I did reference hyakumonogatari.com for this story arc, I have no problem changing their translations.

I actually forgot about the omake until just now. I agree it should be done sooner rather than later, but I haven't actually started it yet unlike the others. NForza has been contacted so hopefully this will go smoother than before.

Also, what fake story summary? I don't actually read them so I didn't notice which one was fake.

Kosuzu in a nightgown! And she's apparently a scaredy-cat? Hmm. I think she's been braver before in the comic. Like when she went out detectiving or when the flying scrolls and books in her library didn't phase her. Hmm.

"Foot Washing Mansion" Sounds really funny. Also, later: "It doesn't get much foot traffic."

KAPPAS! Sooo cute. Really nice surprise. Also, Nitori mentions Shirikodama and "we don't harm humans" right after each other. ^^ It does give me hope that Gensokyo Shiris are something different and more harmless .

Also Clarste: I still have folders of FS Vol. 12 and 13 and several WAAAAGGHHHHHs on my desktop, probably the ones last posted in the thread... Are those finished, can I add them to my main collection? Or are they still unfinished? The Touhou Wiki doesn't yet have links to them.

Oh, ok The differences between those sometimes confuses me.

We usually call them "chapters". Volumes are an entirely different unit, although usually irrelevant in this context (both chapters are part of volume 3, for reference).

Camouflage is the correct spelling.

I know, it's just a typo. Photoshop doesn't have a spellcheck underlining process so I miss them quite often.

They're unfinished. Atrican is too busy to help with translation issues (which are probably more concerning than typos), so I found someone else to help, N-Forza from the Touhouwiki. Of course, he's also busy.

In other news, apparently ZUN is keeping track of the viewer demographics for his Youtube trailer for 14.3 (maybe this was the point of making it?). Most views are from Japan, but the US is a relatively close second. 15% of viewers are female, which was surprisingly high to him, but seems a bit low to me.

ZUN really loves his isolated dramatic and meaningful scenes, doesn't he? I find I care about those way more than the actual plots (the latest being a standard Scooby-Doo sort of thing).

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling appliances!
