The academy is all politics, y'know?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersBecause I think that is correct, clever and yet, simple enough. Like beautiness in mathematics.
A pit of mothingnessIt's almost as good as "[Yukari]'s science-oriented in the same way that a domestic abuser is in a relationship."
I have a message from another time...I remembered that quote a few weeks ago when I learned about Laplace's equation because I knew I had seen that name before.
Turns out one of Yukari's spellcards references a theory of his that has since been discredited. In game, the Magic Eye of Laplace tracks the opponent's movement and then hits them with lasers when Yukari hits her with a projectile. Its description says that that's how Yukari can keep on everything in Gensokyo. Laplace's Eye/Demon basically said that if you knew the position and momentum of all particles at a specific point in time, you could find all past and future positions of a particle.
Though Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle says you can know the speed or position of a particle at a certain point in time, but not both. There are other things that disproved it, but I think that's the big one.

So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonThe series does like to refer to discredited theories on occasion.
Like Patchouli's Phlogisitc Rain.
I have a message from another time..."Magic Eye of Laplace" is a horrible mistranslation and I hate them. The spellcard is simply called "Laplace's Demon" and is a direct reference to the thought experiment. A number of Yukari's spellcards have such references to impossible science. "First Category Perpetual Motion Machine" being another.

Which makes sense, since theories that turn out to not be true are often forgotten, and we know what happens to things forgotten.

Check out my fanfiction!Speaking of, I love the little pre-loading message in Ten Desires.
"This is a work of fiction. Any real-life chracters or organizations that appear within have entered Gensokyo."

I have a message from another time...Why would the translators change it to 'Magic Eye of Laplace'? Not only is it wrong, but it sounds stupid.
Other note: Sometimes I confuse Laplace's Demon with Maxwell's Demon. Don't do this.
Also, that gives me the excuse to do this:

Heart of StoneIt probably really hurts their feelings.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think the image is actually here, though it could just be dA crapping out on me
Hate that site so much
I get the feeling that Wriggle is poised to leap out and get beat up and then midair slouch away, her job done for another day.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersdA is kind of obnoxious like that.
So Marisa's gonna get Wriggle Kicked in the face in 3, 2, 1...
Wriggle.
You can't the sky from her.
She will slouch there, and no one less than a god will tell her otherwise.

I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments. Is that actually a thing that happens much? I've been more likely to get killed by Keine's entrance
Hmm... In my experience, I have been kicked more times against Kyouko...
Also, that gives me the excuse to do this:
I just know this would happen.
A pit of mothingnessWell, maybe.
I mean, if you made that mistake, Maxwell's demon would certainly start acting cold, but Laplace's demon wouldn't even get angry. It's like he knew it was going to happen.
I have a message from another time...WELL PREDICT THIS!

Heart of StoneDid an asterism try to be unpredictable by posting more Touhou music?
A pit of mothingnessThank you very much for introducing this brilliant band to me! I'm a big fan of folk!
Speaking about folk...

I still don't understand why that's the quote of the year.
