She pulled a PCB and had Youmu steal the upcoming day and feed it to a ficus she has.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI have been ninja'd by forum errors, but whatever.
Youmu stole the Day the same way she stole Spring.
Speaking of Youmu, I've mentioned this once before, but does anyone else think that 5th-stage Midboss Youmu in PCB is actually Myon shapeshifted into Youmu's shape (like in one of Youmu's SWR spellcards)? It would explain why 5th-stage boss Youmu doesn't seem to remember fighting you (or that there are humans in Hakugyokurou).
I like to imagine that Youmu stayed with Yuyuko, and sent Myon out to steal the Spring.
I have a message from another time...No. She uses Myon in her 200 Yojana spellcard.
Heart of StoneI think Myon's actually supposed to be Youmu's mind and stuff. The bit that'd go on to be a full ghost.
Avatar SourceIt's an interesting WMG, but I can't see it having much substance.
Though, I suppose I'm assuming that the two halves of Youmu are somehow connected. They don't seem to be able to separate very well, for one. for two, I suspect there's some telepathy there... or rather it's the same person so she only has one line of thoughts, so to speak?
I wonder which half would have the heart for Satori to read... probably the ghost half, if Satori didn't just hear it in stereo.

I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.Trying to remember where I saw the full explanation. It boiled down to there being two components to the soul, though: a mundane half that animates the body and a spiritual half that can continue to exist as a ghost. Hmm.
-Ponders.-
Avatar SourceSquirrels don't remember any in the first place, they just smell the nuts underground.
Also, I like Plain Asia. And you guys talk too much.
Well, the Touhou wiki, at least, seems to indicate that the ghost half is an independent yuurei... that is also half of Youmu, and Youmu's human body is the human half. So I guess... two wholes make two halves of one existence? It's confusing.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."But do two half-bakeds really make a whole?

So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonYoumu seems psychologically healthy, so yes.
Avatar SourceNever trust the goddamn wiki. Make your own conclusions based on what happens in the games and the official side materials. That's what Touhou is all about.
Huh? How?
I have a message from another time...Well, given it's the accurate wiki and the information is taken directly from the side materials and game manuals, I'd say it's fairly trustworthy information.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."... I'll continue to trust the wiki, thanks, and not someone telling me I'm enjoying it wrong. >_>
Avatar SourceIt fires the bubble bullets that Youmu then slashes through and scatters.
Heart of StoneThere is no accurate wiki. Not sure what you're talking about. The wiki's a nice place to find text dumps from the materials, but their summaries are consistently terrible.
Or just disagree with your opinions. Whichever. >.>
Avatar SourceI don't really agree with that, since the wiki's pretty consistent with anything officially canon, but I guess we can agree to disagree on that.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."It doesn't matter whether they disagree with me or not. Stating your own interpretations in a setting like Touhou where many things are left deliberately vague is inherently wrong. It's a simple fact that they're terrible. Even the people who run the wiki hate them.
Yeah, the Kon and the Haku were the two souls, I think it was? kinda like the earthly soul and the higher soul. The former gives rise to the divine spirits in 10 desires: spirits of worldly desires, while the latter is what becomes a yuurei and eventually passes on.
Youmu... psychologically healthy... I'm not so sure. Well, I suppose a mentally healthy child... Who works 20 hour days and gets no vacation and no pay. So... yeah. Did I mention Youmu's life also sucks?
RE: the wiki. I've found little things here and there now and again that as far as I can tell are pure speculation being presented as not. I use it for translations (and I usually try to take those with a grain of salt... I don't know Japanese, but I understand enough about translating to understand that some concessions have to be made and some important info may be lost or invented out of whole cloth just from a translation. Clarste's efforts translating stuff is what really began to show me those complications.)
But yeah, apart from translations (Well, and fanon stuff), I don't use the wiki much.

I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.Wait, bubbles? All I see is her gathering cherry petals to herself, then a big bullet-time slash that leaves a lingering cut across the screen.
200 Yojana is part of the actual boss portion. If Midboss Youmu was Myon, then she'd have retreated and regrouped with Youmu by that point.

I have a message from another time...It's her first boss spellcard.
Oh, midboss. I thought you meant the entirety of stage 5.
Still don't buy it. I'm not even sure if she can separate herself like that.

Heart of StoneYou basically hit her so hard that she suffers short term memory loss. The irrepairable brain damage that you gave her also temporarily altered her personality, making her snappy and making her prone to drowsiness.
=____= You're ruining the mystique, man.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSince she likes to throw Myon as a projectile, she must have a real headache after every fight.

I thought she killed the day
That sounds a lot more stupid now that I've typed it.
