Real quick on the SMT V Vengeance discussion, I read somewhere that you're going to have an affinity gauge with Aogami. Given what we're seeing about the Vengeance side, does it seem likely that this is a basegame change? And if they're making changes to the base game, what else might they change?

There’s also similar deal with other demons as well, but of course there’s going to be more personal ones between MC and Aogami due to the nature of their relationship as Knowledge and God.

In interviews, devs have said there won't be any story changes to Creation, but there'll also be some new sidequests, so sounds like it'll be minor at best aside from mechanical changes.

those are prolly for most of the new demons (and by most I mean everyone but the Qadditsu and other plot relevant eons)

I'm reminded of that time I was waiting for Shin Megami Tensei IV to come out, and I got so excited when I realized that one of the trailers had the Fiend theme music.

Too bad the IV Fiend theme is kinda mid. One of the few blemishes on an incredible soundtrack.

I'm on a roll in my "time to complete Shin Megami Tensei playthroughs that I've been putting off for a long time," since I recently just beat the final boss of Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse for the third time.

I remember when the devs of Shin Megami Tensei V were talking about how the base game of V was "the story of the bull god," and I went to check and see if a bull was part of YHVH's demonized form. Yes, it was.

Sometimes I wonder if Lucifer and YHVH had knowledge that was passed on to humans.

I would be quite amused if YHVH had to rely on a human teenager to get things done.

And the first thing that popped into my head was YHVH as Zordon.

With Cherub being added to the game I really hope that Virtue comes along too so that the Divine race won't have inexplicable holes in it.

Care to elaborate? I'm legit curious, never watched Power Rangers except for like 3 series as a kid and I had no idea what was going on.

I always figured that the people who say YHVH reminds them of Zordon is because the most well-known appearance of YHVH in the series is a floating bald head.

No real comparison between the two outside of that, but the “rely on a human teenager to get things done” made him immediately spring to mind (though Zordon had a team of them).

I guess this makes Metatron Alpha 5, then?

Who is Zordon and what's his deal?

I wasn't really an avid watcher of Power Rangers, but my understanding is that Zordon is an alien wizard who acts as Mission Control for the Power Rangers.

Zordon is an intergalactic wizard who serves as the mentor to the first few power ranger teams.

It's so weird for me personally to see people not catch these MMPR references, especially with how religiously I watched my old Power Ranger tapes as a kid.

Speaking of Super Sentai and Power Rangers...

I'm reminded of how Devil Summoner Soul Hackers had the Frost Five, which don't cost any Magnetite to have summoned out. They're useful to have, but the sad part is you'll have to wait quite a while before actually getting Frost Five, since one of the Frosts you need requires you to trade Metatron for it.
