I dunno, I just got the vibe from the comic. CB's ex reminds me too much of my step-mother. And my mother to be honest. Maybe I was projecting a bit too much, eh?
I think so. We have no real evidence to the character of Commander's ex save who she is. She has two very sweet children that she raises with only occasional in-put from their father. She allows him to see them and be part of their lives as much as any man in his specific circumstance can and will. I see no reason to condemn her yet.
"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."She doesn't approve of her daughter thinking blue lobsters are baby Mr. Fish. That's an illusion I would never take away from a child.
So. Let's all pause for a moment to smell what the Rock was, is, and forever will be... cooking.—Cave JohnsonAlso, to be fair, Commander Badass is kind of high maintenance. What with his need to keep live bulls and fight canadian guy.

Read my stories! Thanks for linking one of the strips I was thinking of... I know there are some with them interacting a bit. I always found the goggles part funniest.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIt doesn't help that the first time we see the ex-wife, she has a very sour expression on her face, doesn't even say "hi" to Commander, and just tells him not to do anything that will keep the kids awake all night (Or something like that)
Well she did divorce the guy. Despite our best hopes, those tend to sour people's relationships. And Commander can be a bit of a smug prick at times, so it's not like she's hating on some super affable guy.
"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."That last panel seems kinda appropriate.
Note he didn't say hi to her, either.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'm assuming she's a bitch unless proven otherwise.
That's a very cynical approach to life.

"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that MGDMT was real life.
I treat all things as I do real life. Just seems simpler that way.
"The marvel is not that the Bear posts well, but that the Bear posts at all."I sure as hell hope most people don't or anyone who likes the villains are disturbing as fuck.
I just don't assume she's full of malice. I wonder how Coelasquid intended her to come across.
Anyone else the child of divorced parents, or been divorced? My parents' wasn't particularly cordial in the least, but this doesn't seem that bad.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyMy mom has been divorced once. He left and we've never heard from him again.
You know... I probably shouldn't have asked that question here.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyHonestly, I'm guessing that she isn't the nicest person, judging from that comic, but I wouldn't say she's a complete bitch or anything, just kind of snippy.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Well, look at what she has to deal with. I mean, she suggests that he get the kids some kind of pet in that very comic, and what does he get?
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back. One that fits her requirements entirely. Low maintenance, (for her, anyway, the Commander would take care of that), she wouldn't have to clean after it, and nothing on this earth would be allowed to harm the kids.
I presume that she is ok at treating the kids and ergo is not a bitch. She just doesn't like Commander himself, probably for the same reasons they divorced.
We're just seeing his POV. I bet a Day in the Limelight for her would give us a very different view of the Commander.
Likes many underrated webcomicsEh, Idunno. That one comic already gave us all the problems she had with the Commander.
That was an unanswered assumption. Divorce is understandably a touchy subject for some people at all times.
