No sidequest is permanently missable, you'll see why after route C/D. And if you completed a sidequest, it carries over into your later playthroughs of the game. However, if you didn't complete a sidequest before the route ends, it'll restart. The most common case of this is The Wandering Couple sidequest because the area the second part of the quest activates is basically right next to the point of no return.
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughThat was probably the save point, not a quest. I had the same problem.
It's been fun.Oooo... a new soundtrack with different arrangements and unreleased songs is coming out in December.
I feel spoiled.

i. hear. a. sound. The remix albums for the original Nier had some great stuff.
Remixes? Oh my. Someone get my fainting couch.
Then again, I'm not a huge fan of in-game 'remixes' like Kaine Escape or... Whichever Vague Hope version I like less. Still really excited to hear there, though.
It's been fun. One! One million copies sold!
Two! Two million copies sold! *mua-ha-ha-ha-haa* etc.
Not surprised. Yoko games always endure. The first Nie R had nothing going for it when it came out and only got more popular and talked-about with time, Automata had multiple things going for it so it's hardly surprising that it would be a success.
I would hope they will do more with this series now.
Mileena MadnessPersonally what I'm hoping for is another Drakengard game after this, but I'd hope it would be more like Automata or the first Nie R instead of D1 or especially D3. Would be nice to have a reliable high quality dark fantasy franchise for JRPG's since right now, we don't really have one (although the Drakengard games are basically Musou and not really RPG's).
I kinda want a shaggy dog story about fighting Legion, but I also don't want things to get too saturated.
i. hear. a. sound.Doesn't the Souls series count for that, though?
Octopath Traveler seems like its going down that way, particularly with Primroses' story.
Watch SymphogearAnyone tried using a Switch Pro Controller for this?
I'm strongly considering picking this up before the sale ends, and was wondering if that works as a decent control scheme.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobNo I mean playing the Steam version using a Switch Controller connected via bluetooth dongle.
"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobI played it using a Xbox One controller on PC, and had no issues. Should work fine with a Switch pro controller

Square Enix said in a recent financial report that Automata completely shattered expectations and they're definitely looking to do more with the franchise now. On one hand, yay more Yoko Taro and more Drakengard. On the other, knowing SE they might take the wrong route for it...
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughWe'll always have Paris.

Nier Pocket Editon
Mileena MadnessI'm fine with Nier and Drakengard becoming a Cash-Cow Franchise as long as Square enix continues to do as they do and let Yoko Taro do his own thing, which seems to be the case with Sino Alice so far.

The Rhythm Game is still there, and it has the camera of the Drakengard 3 Rhythm Game.
Well, finished route A. Good and everything, but I'm still mildly annoyed that what appeared to be a perfectly ordinary mission cut me off from all sidequests and ran straight at the end game. Also, I swear there are a couple sidequests that are literally impossible. There was one that seemed to be sending me to that area under the Factory that doesn't become available until all the sidequests get canceled. Maybe it changes in later routes, but even so, it's annoying for it to show up on my map like that.
