Nier

I asked an LP'er of the game who's super into Drakengard what the logistics of the situation were. I don't believe there's been an official statement from Yoko or whoever, but apparently it's pretty easy to explain what happened: Nier made a pact (like the kind from Drakengard) with Tyrann. The magic power from that contract was able to make Kainé into a full human, at the cost of Tyrann fading away and Nie R being wiped from existence.

I heard that there was going to be a bit more care put into explaining the situation with both C and D endings but they just didn't have the time to include it I do have to agree that as it stands in-game though there's not enough explanation on just how it's possible for Tyrann to do this.

Story trailer and the new release date I'm guessing?

I was musing on how Kaine and Tyrann's relationship was like a Pact, and I like the Pact explanation.

Has it been stated whether or not your party will increase beyond 2B and 9S (and possibly A2)?

I'm pretty sure that as far as playable characters are confirmed, there's 3, 2B, 9S, and probably A2.

Dunno if you're gonna get party members or whatever.

We've seen footage of 9S following 2B around though, the same way that Nier's party follows him around in the first game. I took this to mean he'd be part of 2B's party.

I didn't know that 9S and A2 would be playable, that's a nice change from the first game.

I'm pretty much guaranteed to play this game on the hardest difficulty available, first time through.

Because I'm old hat at Platinum Games, son!

I actually did that for Kingdom Hearts II because I read a review saying it was easy.

I have a feeling that this will be Yoko's best game ever.

Well, the game has pretty much everything going for it. If he can deliver a story even just slightly worse than the first Nie R it will still be an amazing game thanks to Yoshida's visual direction and the amazing platinum combat.

Also it's interesting that there were other Popola and Devola models. I was under the impression they were just lone prototypes, but i guess not.

I guess it'd be naive to hope Emil doesn't suffer this go around.
