That's...kinda suspect.

So I woke up this morning. Pretty pumped up for the test. Good mood.

ONE FUCKING METER OF SNOW BETWEEN THE CAR AND THE ROAD.

Took me 30 minutes to shovel enough of it to get the car out of the driveway. After I was done I only had 10 minutes left to make coffee. Fortunately my percolator is a pretty quick machine, but still. I was all "Oh yeah, cool, got time to do my stuff and - OH NO FUCK YOU WINTER"

Otherwise the day was cool, I did fine on my test and the sun was shining all afternoon.

I'm still damn worried about everything now...

Just found out that I'm ineligible for something I tried to apply for. Damn.

Further tech support shenanigans:

Guy calls up. Wants to set up a chatroom for his course. I tell him yes, this can be done... and then he proceeds to go on the website and do everything himself without my assistance.

Didn't even learn what his name was.

Our protocol says for stuff like this that I'm supposed to catch the name, course, and phone number, but seeing as he handled it and I did... well, nothing, I can probably just go ahead and not put that in the system this time...

Perhaps he was just asking for permission to do it.

In a good way, though, I guess.

I love how any sort of analysis that York conducts in this game is called "profiling", as though he's analysing the deepest motivations of the fusebox.

So, that play, it turns out the next meeting depends on when I finish early or not.

So, since my creativity kicks in at night, I've come up with a plan.

Compute until six, then start writing.

Nope, he asked whether it could be done. I told him yes, then pulled up my shit to show him how... at which point he said, "Oh, wait, I think I've got it. Yep, and I just fill this in, right? And this does...? Okay, yeah, got it. Thanks!" and hung up.

For the record, how in the hell do they expect you to do tech support over the phone anyway?

Fuck if I know.

I mean, I can go on the school's website as an admin from the computer I've got here, and in so doing, I can log in as whoever's calling me up, but... mostly it boils down to, "Oh, yeah, I see that here too. Weird." or "Are you using Internet Explorer? Yeah, stop doing that, the website doesn't like it."
