Couldn't find a page for this so I figured I'd make one.

Smallville Season 10. Latest and final season.

I'm probably late to the game on this one, but I just realized them leaving Batman out and switching him for Green Arrow is Fridge Brilliance.

GA spent a bit of time on a deserted island and he can shoot arrows really well. No big thing, so he's always around.

But Bruce traveled all around the world for years before he came back to Gotham to become the vigilante we know and love. You can't just have him randomly dropping what he's doing to hang out with Clark.

I kinda liked this new, older Lex. I just hope there's another clone out there who has no idea who Clark OR the Blur are, so when Superman appears he'll be totally in the dark and we can have our classic comic setting.

(Except he's dead. We can just hope the young Alexander will slowly turn dark and age over the season)

Twenty bucks says that if Granny Goodness shows up she'll be in her twenties instead of the "kindly" old matron we know and love loathe.

Seriously, the worst thing to befall this show is when they realized they'd strayed too far from the canon and started desperately trying to shovel everything back into place, at substantial cost to characterization.

Let Lex be Smallville!Lex. He doesn't ever need to become Comic!Lex.

Smallville!Lex ain't coming back. Michael has moved on to other things. We've been told that Lex Prime is dead. Besides, we would've been told by now if Michael was going to make a cameo. No way the studio could keep that a secret.

See above, re: desperately shoveling everything back into place.

Apparently they are actually trying to bring him back, they just haven't worked anything out yet.........which probably means he won't be back

^^ Don't lose hope. I think they'd be able to work a deal for one episode with Rosenbaum. And if it was only one episode, it'd be the finale. And we wouldn't hear anything about that until February at the earliest.

I do agree it's highly unlikely, though. I just refuse to lose hope until then.

Yeah, I'm trying to keep my hopes up. Also, is it just me or have they completely forgotten about the whole Kid!Lex subplot thing. I'm kind of hoping they did.

Another rumour I've heard that's hopefully just a rumour is that Lana might be coming back for a couple episodes. Seems untrue what with the whole being full of kryptonite thing.

I heard the Lana thing too. But not from any sort of reliable source. Just the rumor.

Though, I do see an episode with Lana being worth while. If only because the last three (the kryptonite thing), made it seem as though Lana/Clark would be back on if that were ever fixed, regardless of Lois. And an episode to make it known that even if the situation were changed, the Lana/Clark thing is over. A closure thing.

But to be honest, I don't care either way about such an appearance. Never was a big fan of Lana...

I'm just worried they'd start up the Lana worship again and have Lois saying Lana is perfect for Clark and what not. Or Darkseid telling Lana how amazing she is and how he wishes he could be half as super special awesome as her.

Speaking of Darkseid, how does everyone feel about him as the Big Bad this season? Makes sense to me they'd choose him what with this being the final season and all.

Alright last thing I'm going to say this post: James Marsters will be back next week.

I wonder...could Dr. Hamilton make a lead suit so Lana could at least visit Clark now and then?

^ Don't give them ideas. This show worships Lana. If they could, they would have it end with Clark dumping Lois and living Happily Ever After with his perfect love of Lana.

Clark is going to become infected by Darkseid and since Lana is made of Kryptonite now, she's the only one who can stop him.

All I want is Darkseid to infect Michael Ironside and for him to say the "I. AM. THE. NEW. GOD." speech. If they do that, I will be happy.

It occurs to me that today's episode being a High School Reunion one, that we should get to see Pete again (and really, if not, why go to the reunion? Who else does Clark know from school?). Lana is unlikely (does the general public even know that she's didn't actually die, and that it was a clone?).

I am quite curious, though, as to what the reaction will be when the Prom Queen doesn't show up to the reunion. Since, presumably, Chloe told whatever committee that set it up she (and Clark) would show before trading herself for Oliver...

Well, no Pete and only a passing mention of Chloe. But don't worry everyone, they got some gushing about Lana in there as well.

I don't quite remember but Greg Arkin (that bug guy) was there, I think that's his name anyway, but didn't he die in the other episode he was in?

After he was crushed by the giant tractor scooper dealy-jigger a bunch of bugs rushed out from underneath.

Alright, for a bit I thought the writers had forgotten something again, not that it would've been surprising.

You know what would be a real shame?

If the show decided to utilize a character as wacky and bombastic as Brainiac 5...

and got a great actor for him like James Marsters...

and just had him stand around talking all day.

Just sayin'.

As much as I love Christine Willes, I am extremely disappointed that Granny Goodness in Smallville won't be played by Ed Asner in drag.

It's interesting how when I have only read a couple of anthologies of Superman stories, from all the peripheral information I could tell that the red dots were New Gods and that was Granny Goodness.

Also Callum Blue, Christine Willes: if Smallville continued for further seasons would Clark find himself under attack from Mandy Patinkin?

Next week Granny Goodness makes her debut. I can't wait. ^^

Christine Welles did a very good job as Granny. Very creepy. True, she lacks the same charm that Ed Asner had, but she's got a charm all her own. ^^
