Futurama

Since I, and it seems others, haven't been watching the episodes as they air, or can't, I think we should repost a link to the episodes (the links are at the top of the last page). From there, we can enact a fair spoiler policy.

I loved the new episode. Was that wrong of me?

"Somebody teach me a lesson!" had me in stitches.

Just remember, no significant spoilers.

I get the impression that they must've discovered that their fanbase is at the point in their lives where they're watching certain shows only semi-voluntarally.

I thought it was pretty funny and spot-on parody.

Add another, especially anguished, Big "NO!" to the show's tally. I enjoyed it as well.

At the end, you're left wondering if this is a good or bad thing. Awesome ending.

That was pretty good. I found it obvious what direction it would go in, and fairly obvious how it would end, but it was still enjoyable.

Fine. I thought it was vague enough, but it it's not than it's not. Spoilers removed.

The plot ideas here were good, but there weren't nearly enough twists and turns to it, and the ones it had were pretty predictable. The ending was hilariously ironic, though.

The episode aired four days ago, you can probably put the spoilers back up.

I was going to just put what I'd written in white text or spoiler text, but I'd already deleted it by the time I thought of that.

Leela got an even worse punishment than she wanted. The folks she was ripping off were being exploited honestly. The kids were still being exploited dishonestly, but they didn't know any better and were probably in a better living condition than they were in the orphanage.

I'm agreeing with Freeman on the new season. Episodes are still entertaining but I feel like it's lost a step. Dear Futurama, more Zapp Brannigan please.

I thought the new episode ended a bit too abruptly, but I'd say I enjoyed it.

Less Zapp. He's just been a smarmy douche that has had much more go his way than usual.

I'm of the opinion that we've had the right amount of Zapp all along.

He's a much better one-off or incidental character than episode-leading character.

This week's was much more bearable than last week's, but still not up to snuff.

lol wow, I was always under the impression that Zapp was a lovable character. I guess I was mistaken. Well, I still love the guy and his smarmy doucheness.

Really? Two against one, lol, I can't argue against that. What about the other characters? Any one else that seems to be overused? or underused? I feel like Scruffy has been featured more prominently of late. Not too sure what I think of that, I think I might like him more as one-liner, five second appearance kind of character.

Kif seems snapped all the way back to his first episode.

It appears that, for whatever reason, they're now shoehorning a Scruffy cameo into nearly every episode. I don't dislike the character at all, but it is noticeable.

yea, I have nothing against scruffy, guy is a riot when he slowly flips through his porno mags. I'll have to watch a couple more episodes to see how I like his lengthier and more frequent cameos.

Next season, Scruffy will get a feature episode. The season after that will be wall to wall Scruffy.
