It's why I should'nt be a game designer. I'd tweet random crap that has nothing to do with the game.
More money probably, maybe less toxic fanbase.

Ehhh...Multiclassing...somehow I don't see it working until Blizz revamps how classes in World Of Warcraft work hard.
Unless its a purely cosmetic feature which would allow one char to switch classes without having to roll multiple classes. (Not that my poor bags could handle that)
Am I the only one who is starting to get suspicious that Blizz may deliberately trolling everyone to hype up for thursday?

"You can reply to this Message!">maybe less toxic fanbase.
Doubt that.
Switch classes within same armour grade? Then you don't need a ton of sets.

Multiclassing works in FFXIV due to the fact that there you have an armor chest, you can store and carry 25 of each slot with you and change whenever you want.
Even then though it needs more slots for weapons.
If blizz directly ripped them off then I could see something like that working in wow.
World Of Warcraft has one of the worst fanbases around really, mostly because its been around for so long and such.

Doubtful. World of Warcraft is an old engine. Multiclassing would require a rewrite of core game elements.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Honestly it needs a rewrite though.
It could use a redo, but we aren't getting any until potential eventual WOW 2.
Some limited multiclassing could possibly be realized with only moderate amount of crutchiness thought.

I thought a sequel to WoW was an outside chance.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue. There's a limit to how long you can keep flogging the same dead horse. World of Warcraft 2 is coming, at some point. The only question is when and how it arrives.
And may I ask, what you think WoW 2 will be about? Will it be exactly the same, just with a rebooted story, better class designs, and a new engine? Will it be changed into something different?
You also have to think of the costs, both money and time wise to create a new MMO. FFXIV:ARR took at least 2 years to get up and running and many new MM Os take at least 5. If WoW is making Activision-Blizzard money, why would they want to replace it and spend a ton of money on a new one which may or may not fail.
And what about current WoW? Would you force a two to three year content drought on everyone? Would you force everyone onto WoW 2? Or keep Classic open and maybe end up splitting the fanbase ala Everquest?
Alongside all of this, how many people are going to be pissed all of their time was virtual goods have just been flushed down the drain? The one major reason WoW is where it is today, is because people still hold fond memories of the game, even if they don't like it anymore.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."It will probably be more or less a direct continuation of the franchise.
And I'm not saying it will be any time soon. No, it will only happen when the WOW 1 engine will be just completely damn busted and unsuited for the market. They're going to milk it to the last. And probably not even actually pull the plug here, keep it chugging on low steam like Everquest does.
They could even try some merged subscription scheme to keep the total numbers up - i.e. you have one subscription and it opens both WOWs to you.
And yes, a lot will be pretty pissed. Still, eventually, WOW will have to be replaced by something.

Don't forget the development time of the original abortion of a game they sold as FF 14, before they ripped off Cataclysm to fix it.
Everquest had a sequel that ran alongside the original. It never caught on the same way, though both are still active. At best, I think a sequel to WoW might be able to tap the original frenzy for a very short time—like eight million players diving in because of thick nostalgia cataracts, it'll totally be like the original and TBC for some reason, right? Right?
Then POOF, the subs utterly collapse and leaving us with the same state EQ is in—there's a sequel...but then there's the original game with over a decade of content and everything that warranted a sequel in the first place.
And multiclassing...wow. I have no idea what to make of that. I especially don't know how they could balance it.

World Of Warcraft may be making money for Blizzard, but it's making a damned sight less money than it used to.
Those seven million lost subscribers took an awful lot of money out of Blizzard's profits and there's no rational reason to suggest otherwise.
And the trend for the last few years has been downwards if you go look at the subscriber graphs that are out there on the net for everyone to see.
Plus there's precedent from Blizzard already. Starcraft was still ludicrously popular at the time they introduced Starcraft 2. And much of the reason for that popularity was its online play. But Starcraft 2 still came along.
What balancing? It would probably be like switching specs.
The Starcraft 2 scene has completely crashed in the last year in the face of Lo L and Dota.
Even Hearthstone stole some of SC 2's cake. See how many HS streamers are former SC 2 streamers.
Starcraft was POPULAR but not MAKING MONEY. By that time everyone and their mom had a copy.
Apples and oranges. Starcraft was done, the game was complete with all its content. WoW doesn't "end" in the same fashion, you pay monthly for the development of new content including new expansions.
I hope not. Because I really have no interest in switching my assassination rogue to restoration druid to heal an instance. I have alts for that.

FFXIV has really spoiled me, alts are way too much of a hassle leveling and upkeep wise compared to it. Having every class and profession right there and able to switch on the fly, outside of dungeons, is awesome. No sitting doing nothing while being in a DPS queue, just switch to another class and level while in queue and such. No need to log out or mail crap between toons and all that too. It also feels like you are constantly building instead of starting over from complete scratch.
If it wasn't for garrisons being pretty much the only way to make money I would not have leveled more than one character in wow.
If they did all classes one toon they could add class quests back in, as well as make more character based progression that isn't conducive to alts too.

If the number given is really a hint to the expansion, it means we get another blue expansion. That's one of the sorta-jokey things going around, there hasn't had a blue expansion since Wrath.
>I hope not. Because I really have no interest in switching my assassination rogue to restoration druid to heal an instance. I have alts for that.
How exactly is switching a class is different from logging on to another alt, except for whose bag the dungeon loot goes into?
Configured GUI and Addons? Okay, those only need fixing...still.
I don#t really see Multiclassing potential in World Of Warcraft
And I really don#t want more DD/Tank classes with self heal :/ Frost DK's and Ferals are a pain enough.

"You can reply to this Message!"I want Beastmaster Hunters to either be reworked as tank class or a fourth Tank spec.
