Come on, my vegetarian brothers and sisters! Let us go into the gardens and proceed to live from nature only!

Why would any creature want to hurt you Broccy? D:

But pearls don't rhyme. At least you're not getting rewarded with warfare.

On the subject of Family, I think family is important, but I don't think the family needs to be confined to or, in a number of cases include, blood relation. Friends, lovers, anyone who would help you without question or consideration and you would help without question or consideration.
Princess Ymir's knightess
I guess. It feels like I'm with an actual mother when I'm with Vik's mom. And she told me I'm like a daughter to her as well. That made me pretty happy. :)

Well of course family can be made with friends, but don't underestimate the power of your blood-related family members either.
Princess Ymir's knightess
My brother's pretty powerful, yeah. I heard he won that one karate tournament or something!

@cute: Of course, I am the last person you need to tell that to, but the bond is what defines family, not the blood. The blood is merely a convenient excuse.

It isn't the blood that defines a proper family, but the fact that someone grew up in the same household as you and suffered through the same events as you due to their biological parents' mistakes. At least, that's how I define my sibling relationships.
Princess Ymir's knightess
Yeah, that's how it was with my brother and me too. xDD

Yes, the length and breadth of shared experience can make your true born relations more likely candidates for family. But when the shared experience is pain, betrayal, abuse? Then, the bond can break or never form at all. And what of blood you've never met? Who you'd never seen or heard from? The bond between people of shared blood is a fine idea, but it is in no way a true one.

[up] This girl right here can speak to this.

Speaking of family, I got a package in the mail containing a present for my birthday. I'd bet $10 that it's another book designed to shame me into rejoining the church. -_-;

How's the kitten, DG?

The grey kitten is doing pretty well. She's having a hard time eating from the syringe, but I think that can be solved by switching her to something with a soft nipple on it.

She's currently asleep in her basket.

The odd thing is that having a small kitten in the house with me seems to be helping the black kitten come around a bit faster. She actually ran up and rubbed against my legs when I went outside without food today and let me pet her. smile
