An irrelevant, vaguely funny, vignette-style webcomic

I recently started up a website called Project OGC on which to post my comic strips. OGC doesn't stand for anything, before anybody asks; it just looks kind of like a guy masturbating when you look at it on its side, which is hilarious and original, *hangs lampshade*. But never mind that.

I've been creating these little comics and sharing them with some online friends of mine on and off for a couple of years now, and I decided that I'd get myself a website and try to publish them regularly and with a degree of style and professionalism. I'm not sure how well they will be received here as the lack of any over-arcing story, returning characters (everyone is essentially a Red Shirt) or continuity means that there aren't many tropes, but I hope that you'll like them nonetheless. The jokes tend to be more cute and simple than shocking or laugh-out-loud funny. I'd greatly appreciate any positive or negative criticisms, by the way :)

The website is still relatively new, so it's pretty user-unfriendly right now.

You can navigate the comics using the numbered buttons right at the bottom of that page. Enjoy, and tell me what you think! :)

No, I was emphasising the fact that the comics are in the style of sketch-comedy, but I guess "irrelevant" may have been a poor word to use without any context. I guess they're kind of irreverent too, though :p

Have you tried possibly developing some kind of recurring characters? I notice in one you use a robot and a stick man who could be developed. It could be a great source of recurring comedy. You could also add characters to the format and a world could sort of grow up around them. I'm not suggesting anything on the scope of The Order Of The Stick or The Adventures Of Dr Mc Ninja but maybe something like Awkward Zombie, where there are a few recurring characters (like the cast os Super Smash Brothers, or even the writer/artist). Remember, part of Penny Arcade's popularity is that we've all come to love Gabe and Tycho and their supporting cast so much.

Yeah, I've toyed with the idea of having one or two recurring characters, but right now I want to focus on the simple joke format and try not to clutter the comic with too many new ideas. Hopefully, if enough people like the comic that I can start a community around it, it will be shaped by its criticisms. If I find that a lot of people respond well to returning characters then I may go down that road, but probably never to the point of having main characters. Who knows?

To be honest, though, the only reason I haven't put the robot, for example, back into the comic is because I haven't yet written a sketch that would call for him. The trap I don't want to fall into there is re-using the same joke every time he's in the comic.

That's a good idea, just do what you think suits your style best at the end of the day.
