I've just scratched the surface so far, with a remake of my Fighter named Nekket. I'm gonna focus on her for quite some time.
I REALLY want my costume back...
It's going to be slow going for me, since i'm seriously going through territory I have worn down and I have a busy schedule. But I bought a new PC controller just for this. I am committed.
I keep meaning to buy a PC controller for this game, as I'm not experienced enough with keyboards to properly play a Monk or Rogue.
If I may ask Shirow, what controller did you get?

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.Well, did you guys read the announcement on the wipe?
1. Alpha and Beyond
- The current Alpha Test will end on June 13th Friday 6PM KST
- And the answer is YES. We will bring DFO back.
2. What Stays and What Goes?
- Your Character Name/Class, and your Level will STAY
- EVERYTHING ELSE (including but not limited to gold, items/weapons you have on you and in your vault etc.) will be GONE/ERASED.
- Since it is an Alpha, we cannot leave the items/gold etc. but the least we could do was to leave your character name/level. Also when you come back later, we will make sure to prepare you with necessary items so you can enjoy the game without any hassle.
- We will be providing other means of login for those of you not wishing to use your Facebook account for DFO, However, please note if you want to continue on with your Alpha character when the game is back, you must use the same Facebook account to login.
- To reward you for participating in Alpha we will definitely prepare something for you.
3. Future Plans
- As all of you know (yes, we know too) the Alpha version is so old it almost feels ancient. So naturally it will take us quite a long time to prepare a fresher version, and of course fix all these messy problems everyone has been telling us about.
- What we would like you to understand is that we will not be able to bring the game back within a few weeks; it may take longer than many of you expect, but we will make sure to communicate with you through this page and let you know where we are in terms of preparing the official launch.
Thank you so much for everyone’s patience, and we are so happy to have been blessed with such amazing players
It’s a beginning of something really exciting for us, and we hope you guys are excited as well!
So you'll keep all the characters you currently have at the level they'e at, you'll just loose all your stuff. And get some free complementary gear so dungeons don't destroy you.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI'd feel a better about losing all of my stuff if Neople would have been more specific about what we will recieve for participating in the alpha.
I mean, I don't really have anything of value, and I'm just happy to play this game again, so the wipe doesn't really bug me.
I just don't like how vague that message is.
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.I'm too happy about having the game back to worry about losing all my stuff. (Again).
I'm just using a Xbox 360 controller; wired. The standard-issue wireless ones can't be used unless you buy an adapter... Which costs about as much as a wired controller. I'd prefer a PS controller, but those are a pain to set up.
Neople's CEO has announced that the game's taking longer than expected to come out, and thus announced another Closed Beta test to happen in March 2015. Cited reasons include trying to rework old code and all 500 employees preparing to move offices to another island in South Korea.

Anyone interested in joining a guild?

"Baka baka baka, teme teme teme, baka baka, teme baka."Sure, why not? I'mma be to busy hopping from character to character, so I'm not sure how long I'll be able to stay in a guild. But for now, I'm just happy to get my hands on my M.Grappler again.
I mean, have you SEEN these changes?!
MMMMMMMMM~~~

My love and passion for fighting games is rivaled only by how complete and utter shit I am at them.I do want to play this again. Been a while. I was a male striker before, mainly, but I'm wondering if I should make a brawler this time around. I'm assuming my old character was Lost Forever.
If you participated in the open beta last year, then you can use that same Face Book account to recover those characters.
Outside of that, you're gonna have to start all over.
My love and passion for fighting games is rivaled only by how complete and utter shit I am at them.If theres interest, I can start a guild so we can chill and level up together. I've got a group of friends from the original DFO who are still loyal to the hype. (about 5-10 people)
However we are going to be playing in the american(south, near Texas) servers. If you're not on those servers, you can't play with us sadly. I guess that's the only bad-side if people around the place wanted to join the guild. :/
I'll post again/edit this post with the correct DFO server info before I make the guild.
"Baka baka baka, teme teme teme, baka baka, teme baka."Remember guys: DFO opens in about 15.5 hours and you can pre-download the game here.
Timer shown here (along with DFO stream!)

One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderSo excited to play this again, that I don't even care that my toaster won't allow me to play with most of you guys.
My love and passion for fighting games is rivaled only by how complete and utter shit I am at them.As of a few hours ago, the game is NOW UP!
Me and my friends will be using the "Cain: EAST SERVER" under the guild name Harum Scarum.
If we change the guild-name I'll post it here.
"Baka baka baka, teme teme teme, baka baka, teme baka."So in case anyone's wondering, using up all your fatigue on one character will get them to about level 18.75.
In other news, I want it to be tomorrow so I can keep leveling my Asura.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderAh, I miss this game. I had such a badass Fighter...
I'm not sure which class I'll play with this time around...
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Downloading now.
So hype.

My god, it's full of engrish.
Yeah, it's pretty bad in that regard...given that they're a 10 man team from Korea, I doubt they have anyone too skilled in English translation.
But hey, on the bright side, we've got all the balance patches up to Second Awakening (or so I've heard)! Which means that so many skills are improved! My Exorcist's Crucifix Wind lasts twice as long! Phoenix Hammer is much quicker! Star in the Sky has a suction effect AND can hit targets immune to damage!
And everyone gets their 1st awakening active for free!
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderAaaah all the dungeons are different.
Aaaah the interface is different.
Aaaah there's no more king's road.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
That confused me when I started, too.
By the way, look for me as Whistlewind the Mage...I'll probably do a few rounds over the weekend.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!Anybody else think that we should make a shout out page for DFO?

My love and passion for fighting games is rivaled only by how complete and utter shit I am at them.Maybe, although it's unique since most of the shout outs are through character movesets.
SCREW the creator class. I have punches. She has THE WRATH OF GOD. What the hell man.
I don't see how that's much of a problem, we can just have it as "X class's Y skill is a reference to Z" right?
Also, I think Creator is pretty cool. I mean, I'm never gonna roll one, but the idea of point & clicking in a beat 'em up is hilarious to me.
Besides, don't your punches have THE WRATH OF GOD in them? They're called God Hands for a reason y'know?

So how's everyone doing? How far is everyone in the game? Am I not the only one taking advantage of the wipe by playing classes I never would in the regualar game? etc...
Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.
