That's the TCG, though.
Irrelevant, in other words- Mega Audino still isn't good.
I sure said that!It looked like it was running 15 FPS at times on that video.
I was talking about TCG, and although most people on this thread don't play them, TCG tournaments still have tons of players (not to mention having World Championships much earlier).
Framerate =/= speed. The length of animation is still the same.

Non Indicative UsernameDoesn't matter. An RPG shouldn't lag on the same system that has 60 FPS 3-D enabled fighting games.
Gen VI is so poorly optimized it's embarrassing, but at least it's not Gen IV.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Anyway, this is probably my favorite Master Finals. 2014 was legendary but rather one-sided. 2015 is a mirror match. This year both players make really good plays and it has Cybertron commentating.
Non Indicative UsernameWere the Sinnoh games really that bad from a technical standpoint? I never beat Platinum but I did beat Diamond and I never had much of a problem with it.
Walking speed, HP depletion, and saving time are slooooooow.

Non Indicative UsernameWhen I first played White the thing that impressed me the most was how quickly it saved
Despite the fact the generation Vi is rather poorly optimized, the 'saving data' time is pretty minimum.
If you touch a PC in Gen IV, the save time jumps from an already iffy 5 seconds to roughly 15 seconds.
And apparently, Gen VI gets hit with slowdown because, no joke, the models are way too high-polygon-count for the system.

I sure said that!I read that, yeah. Apparently they were future proofing them for later generations/more advanced hardware down the road. Which means, unless they've learned some tricks since, that Sun and Moon will probably have similar problems.
Going to assume the rest of Gen 7 will be on the NX or at least compatible with it, so we'll see if that's still the case after, though.
Well, the models are already in Go...
Now to see if they can improve the animations, and not have everything stuck flying...
As someone currently playing Gen IV for the whole "everything to 100" thing i'm doing, and will be playing much much more of it to come, I can confirm that yes, IV is agonisingly, tortuously slow. And I love Gen IV, it's got some of my favourite Pokemon and music and the best Champion, but it's fucking painful just to sit down and play it.
It's a good thing there aren't many Gen IV Pokemon or I'd fucking quit
Double OU is suspect testing Azumarill.
I say it's going to remain in Double OU. If not, then I'll be pretty surprised. (After all, Mega Kangaskhan, Landorus and Hoopa-U are still allowed.)
What makes Azumarill so dangerously good in Doubles in particular?
Who knows. Azumarill literally functions the same as it does in Single, though it might have Protect.

Which Landorus are we talking about? Because regular Landorus is average at best in doubles and it's the Therian that makes the world spin.
Non Indicative UsernameIts incarnate form only performs fairly average in Doubles, which is odd considering that most Special Attackers fare better here. But do remember that incarnate form is actually banned in OU because Sheer Force.
Therian form is obvious.

Watching that PWC video made my head spin. I really can't even being to understand competitive Pokemon.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Frailty and lack of spread moves will do it to you. At least Smogon Doubles gives it Sheer Force, VGC took that away.
Both sides try to control the weather and make their mon go first, that's the gist of 2016.
Non Indicative UsernameBecause Sheer Force Landorus isn't available without transferring from Gen V and such Pokemons weren't allowed? Am I getting it right?
Anyways, why are people in the comments complaining about the timer, and making jokes about Verlisify? Could somebody explain it, please? I can't watch the whole video at the moment to understand the timer thing, and I don't know much about Verlisify (other that he receives a lot of hate, for reasons I don't know since I don't watch his videos), so I don't know what he has to do with this.

I've never seen Verlisify's videos, but the VidIQ extension on Chrome tells me without watching the videos that some of his videos are met 50-50 in terms of likes and dislikes, so that alone tells me that I'm not doing that ANY TIME SOON.

Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*@Timer: VGC matches has a 15 minute limit with 45 seconds execution time. When time runs out, whoever has more Pokemon wins, if both has the same number of Pokemon then whoever has more health percentage wins, if both side has the same health percentage then whoever has more health points wins. If you have a advantage in number and the clock is almost over, it's not unheard to see players spam Protect.
If you watch the video, you'll see the timer runs in the first game, with Jonathan's team outnumbered 3 to 1.
@Verlisify: He made a video complaining about VGC players (especially Wolfe Glick, this year's champion) of disintegrity for using genned Pokemon and timer stalling.
