Yup, it is in Generation VI. I do believe critical capture happens more often in Generation VI, but it might have to do with me owning plenty of Pokemon.
Unreliable and pitiful. So famous, but so weak
Was it really strong in the past? Those rumors do exist, but.
Now, it's really weak. So weak it's just sad
The weak Pokemon, Magikarp. The world's weakest one
The weak Pokemon, Magikarp. It's so weak, it's shocking
It's always hopping, hopping all the time. It can cross mountains just by hopping
Why does it hop, it hops for no reason. Even in battle it hops, though it has no effect
Sometimes it gets into it and keeps hopping, and gets snatched up by Pidgeotto
The hopping Pokemon, Magikarp. The world's most hopping one
The hopping Pokemon, Magikarp. Always so energetically jumping
No matter where, you always catch it first. With an old rod, you catch it all the time
Oceans, rivers, dirty puddles. So matter what water you'll find it swimming
It gets swept away by weak rivers and makes karp piles
Thought you caught something, it's Magikarp. Catch and release? Immediately
Thought you caught something, it's Magikarp. Catch and eat? Nonsense
It's a golden shiny one, but in the end it's no different
If it evolves into Gyarados, it's pretty strong. Waiting until then takes pretty long
The old man sells them for 500 Yen! No returns!
The unfortunate Pokemon, Magikarp. Even if you give it away, it's all booing
The unfortunate Pokemon, Magikarp. Never taken notice of its ranking
My Pokemon, Magikarp. I'll raise it just as it is
My Pokemon, Magikarp. I'll collect 6 for fighting
Every one loves Magikarp. The world's most beloved one
Every one loves Magikarp. I give you this love song
Maybe you'll grow up, hang out with a blue squirrel, and become a champion without participating in the finals.

Non Indicative UsernameI will always love the weirdos with teams of six Magikarp, but the one in BW is my favorite for having a high-level team of them.
I sure said that!I'll always remember that one super-badass Magikarp in the anime that tag-teamed with an equally powerful Feebas.
Song of the SirensThat. Was. Something.
So last night while I was playing Pokemon Crystal, my Haunter caught the Pokerus. In all of my years in Pokemon, I've never encountered Pokerus. It was actually a sigh of relief, considering my good luck with shinies.
"People always say that you should follow your dreams... so I'm going back to bed" -meI have an Absol with pokerus I got from a wonder trade. Been meaning to spread that around and start distributing it eventually.
Pokerus is apparently rarer than shinies by a huge margin
but since it can be spread pretty easily on the net it's not as exciting any more.
Yeah, i'm less excited to see Pokerus from a Wonder Traded pokemon. I have a ton sitting in the PC and in the Bank.
Goddammit, Schezo... || *insert incredibly thirsty copypasta about Dr. Ratio*Pokerus is also much easier to encounter due to how you contract it.
I'm interested in how many strains of the virus are in play, though- I suspect it's no more than a few dozen that got spread around rapidly thanks to Wonder Trade.
For all it matters, of course- Pokerus is still Pokerus, a toggled switch.

I sure said that! There's also hacker created strains, too.
I got it legit twice somehow. The second strain is the one on most of my Pokemon nowadays.
i got two legit strains in gen 3 by sheer dumb luck. they're just sitting in the pc waiting for me to get all the samples over
So, which Mega form should have their ability replaced in Generation VII? (no Mega Kangaskhan) Sure, the possibility isn't high, but it's still worth a shot.
Mega Mewtwo X should have Steadfast replaced by Dazzling. Steadfast isn't good on it anyway as it's pretty fast and most Fake Out users are slower than it. Dazzling will be great on it.

Both Mega Mewtwo X and Y could use a better Ability.
I feel like one of them should get Intimidate.
Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardInsomnia is cool for screwing with Darkrai.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? This.
Mega Mewtwo Y is (ironically) one of the few reliable Darkrai counters.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI wouldn't call it a counter since it's still getting bodied by Dark Pulse with Stealth Rock up.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Check, sorry.
I get those two mixed up.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseWhat about Mega Mewtwo Y's Aura Sphere though?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Ususally carries Focus Blast, since Aura Sphere was nerfed to too low of a base power to be usable.
But yeah, Mewtwo outspeeds Darkrai and easily OHK Os it with FB.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseExcept its accuracy is terrible. You're just as viable of missing and having Darkrai kill you in retaliation.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!
I thought it was four. One for each shake then one for the click. Either way, so this is basically the dream mechanic of those who wish to complete the Pokedex. Awesome. It take it that it's in Gen VI as well?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
