Maybe all he could learn from Gramps was that power focusing thing, and not using demonic energy. To the best of our limited knowledge the Gramps does not have any demon powers.

Ah. That's true. I was just really expecting that he would train under Aoi's grandpa because he turned down Saotome's offer. :D A double subversion; I think that's what you call it on TV Tropes? :P

I have a feeling the next chapter will swing back to Oga though.

I hope so this chapter felt awkward to me. I want to go back to the real world not watch a play by play of a 1st I mean 3rd person shooter.

I honestly didn't find it as awkward, but yeah, I know that much of a funny thing can make it... not... funny. :P

I'm only on episode 5 of the anime, but when will Kunieda appear again? Episode 7? I am looking forward to it though, I watched the OVA and she was so adorable in it. :D

She showed up in the next episode preview for 7 if my memory is not playing tricks on me.

She is in episode 7 and it's the park debut episode and it is just as funny as the manga.

So, I've been watching the anime, and I find it mildly amusing. Enough so that I'm considering doing a binge on the manga.

Convince me. :D

In all honesty the anime has done a very good job of covering the manga's crazy sense of humor. The manga is a little more violent and has a lot more material. I would suggest it, but hell what do I know I'm a fan of the series. Have fun if you do, and have fun if you don't!
