^ I love Insano's reaction to seeing the above. "I think Mechakara... [looks on in horror]... [backs away slowly]."
The Philosopher-King ParadoxI really liked this one, though not quite as much as the first episode.
Noah's really keeping the pace up, isn't he? I guess he doesn't want this review to take 11 episodes.
From what I heard, he wants this review to take five or six parts, which will probably be the case given that we're already at guadosalem.
Needs CaffeineHave to be honest...I'm not digging the FFX review.
The first part felt off somehow, and the second seems to confirm my suspicions: it's just not funny. There's plenty to snark on in X, but he latches onto only three points: Tidus, the character designs, and Blitzball. The problem is, his jokes about Tidus have been done to death, the awful character design is hyped beyond measure, and Blitzball...well, that one sucked, and his criticisms are valid AND somewhat funny.
And then there was his "find FFX fans and kill them" line. Was it a joke? Yes. Was it meant to be serious? No. Was it funny? HELL no. Not only is it the most un-Spoony thing in the video, but the thing that pushed him that far? Seymour's design. Yes, he looks like his hair got jammed into two taffy machines and then sealed that way with modeling glue, but really?
Sorry, sorry. It's just...this is the first Spoony review I didn't like.
^ I laughed at that line. Does that make me a horrible person? :(

Me and my friend were rolling around in laughter at it.
Shows how subjective humour is.

So I watched his Microcosm review, which is the first stuff I've seen of him.
Do he gets better? It was midly amusing, but not that great.
Yes, he gets better. Check out something like... Yor The Hunter From The Future.
He's starting to upload his E3 footage.
Troper page Nothing interesting here, move along...I watched the first half of the hotel video.
It's absolute hilarity. That hotel is so bad.
"Did you try the TV?" *Joe turns on the TV*
The Philosopher-King ParadoxWow, Spoony and the Zelda fanboys are pissed at each other. Popcorn, anyone?

Needs CaffeineFrom his twitter: "I'm going back to trolling Final Fantasy geeks. Zelda fans just look wounded and say 'but it's fun and you're a MEAN OLD MAN!' No sport."
The Philosopher-King ParadoxSorry, gonna have to pass on the popcorn, I dont care about either sides butthurts
So Spoony didn't like the new Zelda game. I didn't find that to be a big deal.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I'm trying to put together the definitive list of the 20 best Ps2 games before October rolls around. Are Noahs complaints about FFX accurate? Z Cause if so, maybe I should just skip it....
Try it for yourself instead of letting critics dictate your tastes.
I used to hate FFX just because. I played it through a couple of months ago for the first time, and I have to say that overall, it's a good game. 90% of Spoony's criticisms are still valid (and hilarious).

The thing to remember about Spoony is that his evaluations of a game's merit tends to be based primarily by its storytelling; he's willing to excuse bad gameplay if the story's good enough, but he'll ignore excellent gameplay if the story has enough Wallbangers. This is what happened with FFX. So, if you prefer story over gameplay, you'd best skip it; otherwise, give it a try.
The Philosopher-King ParadoxHow's the gameplay compared to, say Dark Chronicle?
20 best PS 2 games you say?
Have you played Xenosaga?
I've kinda hit the wall for JRP Gs, FFX was the last I was gonna add after Disgaea, Persona 4 (Best and I will hear no arguments against that), Dark Chronicle and Kingdom Hearts II.
I'd like to see Spoony do a LP of Toonstruck.

Kill all math nerdsAnyone have a guess on the next review's subject?
Spoony singing Disney songs is the best thing ever.
