The Ace Attorney Series

The cast was originally voice by Capcom staff members that they got to record a few voice clips. Presumably there's going to be actual dialogue in this game if the cutscenes in some of the trailers are any indication, so they hired on actual voice actors for this game.

DD system??

I'm assuming he means "digital download" (at least, that's the only thing I can think of that makes sense). However, if that is what it stands for then the rest of the post confuses me to no end.

About the title, while I'm assuming that the "dual" part refers to how both Phoenix and Apollo are playable, I wonder if the "destiny" part has any significance. Like what if by the end of the story Apollo forms his own, separate law office or something like that.

Or Athena is playable.

And dude. It sounds like it's Digital Download or no AA at all. Also Capcom's got a point. Have you tried finding a new or even used copies of this game?

Yeah, the series is such a tough sell that they had to reprint the original trilogy several times due to the crazy high demand for it.

It just feels like a BS excuse to me, they could at least have a limited physical run. plus, Nintendo's digital download system is atrocious. If my 3DS is lost or stolen, then no more AA 5, since they tie downloaded titles to your system, not account like a sane company would do.

I mean, I think a digital option is good, I just don't want it to be the only option.

EDIT MORE STUFF: In fact, I'm probably more mad at Nintendo, if they could get their account system into order, I probably wouldn't be as miffed because well, one, I'm happy we're getting it here at all and two, it's true that if this doesn't do well, it's most likely gonna kill the series in the west.

Also bitter cause we're never going to get cool stuff like this◊ and that makes me◊...

Can't you link your eShop to your Club Nintendo account to keep track of your downloads?

All that does, and I really mean *all*, is register the 3DS for coins and make it so any games you download have surveys pop up almost right away. It does not, however, act as a proper account system like you're thinking.

Well, that DOES rather suck but it should be an easy fix.

Um, no. With Steam, Xbox Live, and more than likely the Play Station Network; if you bought something on your account then you could download that game or DLC on as many machines as you want so long as you provide your log-in information. This way if you upgrade your machine or if it is damaged beyond repair (or repairing it wipes your hard drive) you won't lose things you've paid for.

No. That would be the worst console security ever. You have to use the system transfer (which you can only do a certain number of times) for a game to work on another console. When you do, I hear you have to redownload all the games - the existing copies will not work.

(For the record, a similar thing happens if you just try moving a memory card to another system that isn't tied to the same account on a Vita)

Hence why I said it might have been photoshopped. These weren't confirmed to actually come from Fatismu, instead being "leaked". We won't know for sure until it gets affirmed by the actual magazine.

Also, the "in-game" imagines of Edgeworth and ESPECIALLY Trucy are obviously 2D. I'm going to say that's fake.

They're not fake. Trucy's appearance has already been confirmed elsewhere in the trailer that was at the end of the web demo. As for the models looking 2D at first glance, they're just done that well.

Don't forget that cel shading is designed to look 2D but at different angles you can see it's 3D.

I love how they're still using some animation tricks normally seen with 2D. Like one of Barashima's animations has him instantly dissembling a bomb and they use the "vague multicolored swish" effect to show his movements despite the fact that they could probably have just sped up the movement of his arm.

Well, I know that last part isn't true. I never had to redownload the games on my SD Card when I did the system transfer.

OK then. The rest still is. In any case, that's more a topic for the 3DS thread, not here.

Overall I'm liking what I'm seeing in terms of this new game. Wonder why they gave Edgeworth glasses, though.
