I just realized that we're mere hours away from Trigger's panel at Anime Expo 2023. You know, the one that promises more blueballing
about the return of Panty & Stocking?

Trigger finished their panel a while ago.
This might have happened already, but Trigger announced that they scored the rights to Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt from Gainax and are asking we await a new project (Second season? Movie? Something else?) in the future.
Also, new hashtag #NewPSG.
And new poster!
EDIT: In retrospect, they did warn us that we'd get blueballed.

I love how that one of the few new things shown during that montage is the giant Stocking Ghost seen in that infamous promotional image for a 2nd season that ended up not being made... until now. Also I wonder if the short comic "Geekboy Homecoming" is still part of the lore?
Too many things changed in these 12 years in our world after P&S ended that I'm not sure if I'm going to enjoy it 100%, but I will still be there when it comes out. Can't wait to see what kind of weirdness and Western references they will be putting into it (and if they're going to take the piss of their own Edgerunners).
"Effective Altruism" is just another bunch of horsesh*t.
The colors aren't nearly as saturated as the og season was in that image, hence the softer look. Panty is indeed wearing blue earrings instead of red ones.
