No, unless that wild mass guess and just bugs me pages get really long there's not reason to split them by game.

[up]Most of the IJBM's involve the Phoenix trilogy (as opposed to Apollo and Investigations), so I doubt splitting it would help much.

[up]Well, I just went through and split just bugs me.

It does help, but not by much.

I think the non coloned version of Apollo Justice Ace Attorney should be added as a redirect. For people who want to use the full game name without bothering with ptitles.

Any more points of discussion? The split's been in place for a while and many of the namespace have also been split; I think this thread can be closed.

I'd hate to butt in, but due to the Big page lock, the character sheet needs some splitting. I was thinking that, for now anyway, splitting by the three series(Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice, Investigations) would be a good idea. Anybody else have any other ideas for how to split it?

Wise idea. We'll use the current page image for the Phoenix arc character page.

Splitting it by arc makes sense. We already split the main page after all. Just point out where people are since a lot of people show up in all three arcs.

The Player Chacracters should go in their starring games obviously. The same is true of sidekicks but then again none of the sidekicks have left their arc (save Gumshoe).

Yeah, but a lot of people who have only played one game or another will probably be confused if someone isn't on the sheet. I think if someone shows up in the game but they're a bigger part of another game they should have their name in a header and then just a link under them saying see such and such a page. We don't need duplicate entries.

Yes, that's it. Just clarifying where each multigame character should go. Wherever they had the biggest role.

I think it'll make sense for Wright to have a duplicate entry for Apollo Justice, as the characterization is somewhat different for that series.

Meophist has a point. He doesn't act quite the same as he did and most of what happens in that game would be spoilers for people playing the first three.

Yeah I guess splitting Pheonix and Hobonix is a good idea. Especially becuase they have seperate facial profile pics.

I've tried quickly cutting out all of the non-Phoenix Wright characters and was about to make it into a page, but upon hitting "preview", I found that the page is still quite long. Should I post it anyway? We might have to still do something about it.

Actually, looking at the page as it is now. I think we could move all the assistants to their own folder, and then otherwise split it by folders as it is now. That would take care of the crossover issues.

I... don't really like the current folderization, actually. I'd rather have categorization by importance rather than vague "groups", really.

In any case, one advantage to separating by series is that we can get the characters button at the top for all of the series. Splitting them up by other means makes it so that the links going to each page are rather restricted to in-page links.

This is true. Maybe we could split by series and then have the main AA page split again? Have all the minor characters from it on their own page. Maybe give all the Fey clan a page?

Also Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney shouldn't be a redirect to the main Ace Attorney page.

Someone else changed the redirect for nebulous reasons; I've changed it back.

As to what needs to be done here, most of the tropes on the main series page seem to be present throughout the series as intended. I only glanced through it, though, and there might be a couple of subseries-specific tropes left in there.

What else can be done at this point?
