I always did wonder if Jet and Faye remained as a team after Spike seemingly or if they went their separate ways too.
Out of all of them, Jet's the only one who truly manages to find closure concerning his past baggage. He'll probably be alright after the series.
Faye otoh...Regaining her past brought her nothing since it was all long gone. And the closest thing she had to a new family is also gone. Her future is more uncertain. She's a hard luck woman, after all.
Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm with Jovian that I prefer to think Spike is still alive. Future medicine is insane after all.
But I do like to think it wasn't so easy for Spike to pick himself up after this anymore.
Yeah, I could see something like "he survives but permanently scarred". He managed to move on, but not unscathed.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Which would also fit in with the overarching theme of the damage your past does to you. Faye and Jet have not come out of their histories unscathed after all.
I mean all things considered Jet seems better off than the others. He never really brings up his past outside of his focus episodes, and he doesn't seem too hurt by much of it until Spike leaves. Unlike Faye who was in the middle of an existential crisis.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).×4
It would have been hard though. Even if the Syndicate goons don't finish him of they have no reason to help him either.

What did y'all think of Ed's departure?
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Spin off material, that's the feeling I got at the time, quirky character and their dog
New theme music also a boxI did bother me because he just sort of....walk away from that, even today I feel odd, maybe because you dont expect chararter to just move on from that.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"“She” walked away. Ed is a girl.

Disgusted, but not surprisedLet's not go there.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Going where? Faye outright says that Ed's a girl at the end of the episode where she's introduced.
Disgusted, but not surprisedPretty much, but somehow doesn't stop viewers from being confused over Ed's gender
New theme music also a boxEd was confirmed nonbinary via Word of God
Technically Word of God didn't actually confirm that.
CBR did an article on this.
CBR 12/4/2021: Cowboy Bebop: What Is Radical Edward's Gender?
And while Edward is portrayed by a non-binary actor in the live-action adaptation, said actor has referred to Edward with feminine pronouns.

Disgusted, but not surprisedEd explicitly refers to herself as a girl in the movie.
Then Ed's dad was like "my son... or was it daughter?"
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Would Ed even care if you called them a boy or a girl?
Ed would only care if you called them someone else other than Edward.
Also M84 is right, for some reason I mistake her as boy, probably because ed sound men.
So yeah, my fault, brain fart here.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Toonami is doing a Bebop marathon for New Years.
Huh. That's going to be quite a Toonami marathon.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Fitting since Tom is voiced by Steve Blum, the English dub VA for Spike.
Disgusted, but not surprised
Not if I burn the corpse!
