Whoashit. This is a first. Usually we get vice versa'd thread. My advice? Show how you handle actiony things, like falling down or running really fast or something to that extent. And backgrounds. And perspective.
New User HandleI can't post up any recent actiony drawings because I've been completely out of ideas for years now, which is why I just draw people idly standing around in place. I suppose I can link to this bunch of pages, but the thing is that I'd like to do something talky-talky. (Doing an actiony VN would be problematic anyway, unless you liberally sprinkle it with C Gs, at which point you might as well just draw a comic).
As for backgrounds, I love drawing sceneries like this◊. If anyone wants to make a VN set in a city, then I'll just take a camera, go outside and take some pictures, and then just trace them on the computer (will save me some headache, god knows I hate drawing with a ruler).

I think it may be better to ask in Visual Novels.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits. Are you not going to do Salbian Snow? Because you should; it sounded interesting.
It's not actually a first time I've seen an artist looking for a writer here.
Now, I probably should find an artist if I actually want to ever get my project done, but I'm not sure it's what you're lookign for. It's intended as a comic, altho I suppose it could be turned into a visual novel without too much difficulties (altho very action-heavy, not that much dialoque). And it's not what I'd call short. Granted, there are only 3 or 4 episodes crucial to the plot (protagonists meet, foreshadowing, big bad is introduced, big bad is defeated), but I'm planning closer to 10 to keep it a bit more coherrent. Most of the episodes would be relatively short, tho. Not sure how many pages exactly as I've only got the outlines for each planned.
Eh heh heh heh heh.
Here, between odd ideas being thrown around, is a visual novel in progress. I'm quite sure it would benefit from your awesome, fitting art. It might be a little long, though. The thread itself can tell you more, though I'll explain it in brief:
It's a yuri visual novel taking place in a high school in Canada, no ero stuff. A main point is that in each girls' route, the visual novel deals with some of the problems that lesbians/bisexuals deal with, instead of glossing over them like most yuri. It might not fit all of your requirements (being short, not being about romance), though the "pointless" romance bit is definitely debatable.
In any case, it's currently in progress. If I keep using photographic backgrounds, you'll have much less work to do.
But watch out! If you decide to apply, you have competition from a massive horde of exactly one person.

I write pretty good fanfiction, sometimes.^ That one already has an artist, which I assumed was the problem.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.@Nomic: Action heavy stuff won't do, it would require too many CGs, and I want to do a VN that will be complete by next summer, not hang over my head for years and years (I already have a comic that is doing exactly that).
@Five X: I read a bit of that thread yesterday, but what scared me away was the "it will have fanservice" part (and the fact that it already has an artist too), fanservice just so happens to be my berserk button. I DO love yuri though (the elegant type, like Marimite), so I'll think about it a bit more before deciding. (Also, with everything being scattered all over the thread, it's hard-ish to piece together all the details).

First, here are some of my◊ drawings.
Second, I'd like to make a short(!!!!) Visual Novel, not a comic. I don't really have any genre preferences (I like drawing cute girls though), but I have an aversion to pointless romance and would like to get away from the typical VN (I'm not drawing any pron, that's for sure). Just keep in mind that it needs to be a story that can work in VN format.
So... anyone wants to make one?
