Well, that was at least partially justified. Croshaw is definitely not in the game's target audience, and he had no business reviewing that game in the first place. He was also pissed at being forced to review games based solely on popularity, but he should have expected that.
The "Invasion" mode is apparently still in, though.
And here's a video from E3. Not much to see here - it's pretty similar to the original.
Another video. This one's more interesting.
TBH, I'm not really that interested in this game.

Well, there's no co-op campaign, but there is local multiplayer and "invasion" mode. And the Kotaku article might be wrong about Motion+; there's a wrench weapon for melee combat.
Really enjoyed the original, and am definitely primed for this one.

Someone recorded the demo of the game featured behind closed doors during E3. I think it might be the only footage of the single-player mode in existence. Parts 2 and 3 are here.

Nice find, though the single-player doesn't get shown until parts 2 and 3:

Well, here you go. Direct-feed footage.
...It's still pretty ugly. Granted, this is from the oil rig level, where it makes sense that everything looks so ugly and dreary.

GameTrailers has a nice video interview — a good rundown of the new features, direct-feed footage, and views of something other than the oil derreck stage.

(Hmmm, seems like a lot of the footage is duplicated from BLOODPOUCH's clip. Wonder who's copying whose material?)

So can someone tell me does it look like this game will be better than first one? I'm not good at judging such things...
The first level looks better than half the first game's campaign.
So yeah, I think it looks much better.
They pretty much nailed everything that was wrong with the original game, so it has a good chance of being better.
That said, the story still sounds like a Dan Brown novel and almost all the extra features were ripped off from other games.
This just in: first person shooters are often derivative!
And, to be perfectly honest, Conduit 2 is looking derivative as hell. This is not at all a point against the game...just sayin'. I'm not expecting Shakespeare, and neither should you.
^ The first game ripped off a lot of sources, too. Goldeneye, Modern Warfare, Halo, Half Life 2...
As AC said, FP Ss are very derivative. Like, all the time.
As long as I get to shoot things, blow up things, and shoot and blow up more things, I think everything will be fine.
I'm going to treat the story as a bonus.
Disappointed, but not entirely unexpected, especially with Goldeneye and Call of Duty hitting in the same period. At least it frees up my holiday gaming budget a skoosh.

At least being delayed means they get to tweak it a bit.
Discover the rest as the game progresses.Me likes. Those bigger environments will be lots of fun. Too bad the original voice actors won't be returning...

Slight derail, but just to let you all know, Mark Sheppard, the guy who played your protagonist in The Conduit, also plays Crowley, the current King of Hell, and a major character, in Supernatural. My favorite show, and I thought you guys should give it a try.

The sad, REAL American dichotomyI'd like to think that the Wii can do better than this N.O.V.A 2 for the iPhone looks more polished.

The new It Just Bugs Me!As someone who's playing N.O.V.A. 2 right now (got it for $0.99 the other day), I'd say that Conduit 2 already looks more polished. The first two screens you linked to are super-saturated for some reason, and the last one is split-screen multiplayer, which probably uses lower-poly models than the regular game out of necessity.
N.O.V.A. 2 is an okay game, but it's clearly got simpler models and animation, fewer effects, and fewer (and dumber) enemies.

Well, the game's now out; anyone else picked it up yet?
I've only managed to play the first half of the first level. Too soon to give impressions, but either I'm getting rusty or the Mooks are tougher than before. And I'm still not yet sold on Ford's new wisecracking banter.

Nah, it's on the Wii, so Yahtzee will hate it just because. Watch his Monster Hunter 3 review for an example of Epic Fail.
