Just for general video-game-related chattering. This is totally not a ripoff of any other topic in any other forum.

De Blob is made of liquid sunshine. Especially the music.

It's even better in real life 'cuz of the Variable Mix that adds instruments depending on your color and what you're painting.

Super Mario Galaxy has made me finally say that I am indeed a Mario fan instead of just following the series with my peripheral vision.

Man, why aren't there more Wide-Open Sandbox Third-Person Shooter-type games out there?

There needs to be more games based on Kaiju. Godzilla's fighting games are great, but there needs to be a modern one with awesome building crumbling physics and absolutely MASSIVE scale.

My inner pretentious True Art twit says Shadow wouldn't work as well without the Colossi looking like the incredibly ancient and intricate things they do because then you don't despair like that when they die.

Wanting more, better JRP Gs that don't feel like they have to obey the slavish traditions that came before.

Tempted to have hope for FF XIII, am quashing it in order to not be disappointed when it comes out and is invariably as bad as all the other FF games that aren't VI or VII.

The colossi looked awesome. That said, it was the scale of them that blew me away. The things could've been evil clowns skating around on roller blades while singing christmas jingles and i'd still feel pretty epic taking something that big down a few notches.

So, I bought my siblings a PS 2, and now I need recommendations for games that are engaging, have an easy difficulty curve (my sisters are young and have very little experience with games that don't involve using the mouse) and are suitable for ages 10-13.

Recommendations please?

Huzzah! I'm downloading it now.

EDIT: Oh... My sprite didn't make it. Ah well, probably should've expected something like this.

I feel somewhat dishearted.

So my Mum doesn't really like video games that much. I wanted to show her Uncharted 2. It looks so real and it's so awesome, and it plays like a film. So if I was going to show her one game on this thing, it would be this one.

So after eventually convincing her to see it, what do my Brother and me do? Get stuck fiddling about in a temple just steps away from the next cutscene, not knowing what to do. After about 30 minutes of this crud, she gives up and leaves. Then, as soon as she does, we figure it out. Great, I was just on the brink of finding a game she might've actually enjoyed, and then we get stuck for the first fliping time in the whole game. Now she just doesn't care even more. And I'm genuinely annoyed I didn't get to show her this now, 'cause it's a masterpiece

That's too bad, Pacific. :( I've run into that situation too. I've given up trying to convent or woo non-gamers. My best friend will play MM Os with me but she has zero interest in most other types of games. Same for... well, most of the rest of my meatspace friends. That's why gaming has such robust online communities, I guess!

Sorry to derail, but how the hell do I get onto the "Oahu Raceway" in Test Drive: Unlimited? I checked Cheat Code Central(www.cheatcc.com) and all they said was "Get to 'Pro' rank." I'm stumped.

I just got Medieval Total War again. I downloaded the expansion a year ago.

And you'll learn to love him more.

Medieval Total War and Vista don't mix. Will work on the other PC, since it ran it once and it's a portable copy anyway
