The previews I saw of this looked like The Buzz on Maggie, only underwater. So I figured they wanted to remake Maggie but make it more successful by tricking people into thinking it was Spongebob for a few minutes.
I think the character designs are fine, if nothing to write home about, but the backgrounds are awful.
The writing is sharp, but I CAN'T STAND THE SHOW. It's so obnoxious. When the characters aren't yelling, they're using made-up slang that my sister repeats in the house.
"Problem solved! Diddly doo!"
STOP SAYING DIDDLY DOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm considering watching the show regularly again, but with the volume off and the captions on.
signature lineI heard people say that before the show appeared.
Anyway, I enjoy the show myself. It's funny and well written.
As me anything and I'll say... What?Bump
Ugly and cringe-worthy voices. Ah well, at least it can be funny at times.
Supports cartoons being cartoony!I don't know, I thought Justin Roiland was a lot of fun as Oscar. Heck, out of all his VA roles, I like Oscar, Rick, and Morty way more than, say, Lemongrab.
he did seem to have fun. It was sorta fitting for Oscar too.

I liked Chowder but hated Billy & Mandy. This doesn't feel much like either, but the visuals alone are enough for me to give it a thumbs up. And the school setting doesn't bother me.
