Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

No info on what chaos is?
I have a message from another time...After reading through he lyrics that were posted, I came to the conclusion that some can fit certain situations in that lightning returns game(I wanted to say something else but I'll keep it mild).
Lyrics to what?

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyI am now realizing that Dissidia Y'shtola's Aetherial Pulse and Lance of Life are Asylum and Assize from Heavensward, now I'm positive Aero III and Stone III will be her last two HP Attacks.
...oh that's delicious. Heavenward gives players that cool shield thing she used to save the Scions?
I have a message from another time...Oh by the way if you didn't watch the Dissidia Arcade stream, Squall can Draw now.
It does but amusingly its a healing zone rather then protective barrier.
...huh. How does that work?
I have a message from another time...All those within the barrier get a powerful regen effect. Its cuz protection is more of the Scholar's niche I guess.
I wonder what Squall's Draw and Junction do though. I'm guessing its a power up of some sort but how I know not. I think they also mentioned Squall's attacks having the Trigger function but I'm not sure if I heard right.
Its also nice to see Solid Barrel and Thunder Barret (I hope they re translate it to Bullet)

I meant to ask that of Squall's Drawing.
I have a message from another time...I don't think they said what it did. Full translations aren't out yet.
People are guessing he can either steal a move from someone or steal summon meter.
They DO say junction so I think there is at least a power up component to it. If I had to venture a guess I think he either drains EX Skill cooldown time or Summon Meter from enemies to power himself up.
And you can definitely trigger the gunblade manually. Squall's also returned to FF VIII style two handed slashes then Dissidia's rapid fire one handed stabs and hammer fanning.
Also Bartz's attacks are Jump, Aim, Spellblade, Blue Magic and Zenniage.

Aww, I kind of liked the laid back style of his sword swings. It made his ex burst more impactful because it was one of the only times he used both hands. Also, the spinning hammer moves were pretty silly to look at, like squall was too lazy to put his own force into the swing, and let momentum do his work for him.
Wherever I am is wherever I will be. ...unless I'm lost.I liked the Dissidia style too, maybe he will retain it for Beat Fang. Or it may be a sign that Seifer is planned so they want him to be the one hander to differentiate the two better.
It is also my hypothesis that Lightning no longer uses the gun function of her gunblade so that when she gets her Equilibrium costume she will be able to use Crimson Blitz.
Its funny because they drew the opposite conclusion of what was intended for Bartz.

Yeah, I laughted at that. Bartz seems to have moves from all his FFV Jobs this time around instead of being mostly a mimic.
Someone asked about the Types a few pages ago and I ran into a breakdown of the first 6 characters and their Types while searching for a translation:
Next up, is the Speed-type Onion Knight. He uses his speed to advantage by getting around with ease throughout the battlefield, and can also use magic and sword attacks. The Onion Knight can change his job between “Ninja” and “Sage,” which greatly changes his playstyle. He’s a versatile character that goes with any kind of party setup.
At 2:48, we get a look at the Shoot-type Terra Branford. As the type name implies, Terra shoots down enemies from mid and long-ranged distances using magic attacks. Her EX Skill is her trademark special ability “Trance,” which transforms her into an Esper, vastly increasing her attack, defense, and speed. She’s an easy-to-use damage-dealer type character.
Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife sees some action as a Heavy-type character at the 3:50 mark. Using his giant blade, he can take out enemies by charging (holding) “Brave Attacks”. His EX Skill “Limit Break” allows him to use various attacks with much less time spent charging up his attacks. He might not be able to keep up with Speed-type characters, but he makes up for it with wide range, reach, and heavy attacks.
The Speed-type Lightning is next, and she demonstrates her Paradigm Shift which allows her to switch between two styles of “Attacker” and “Blaster”. Her preferred attacking range changes depending on the style, so you’ll need to know how to switch it up accordingly. Her “Army of One” ability lets her recover HP, making it very useful in all the action going on.
Finally, we get to see Final Fantasy XIV’s Y’shtola at 5:49. Similar to Terra, she’s a Shoot-type character with the ability to attack from mid and long-ranged combat; however, she also excels at supporting allies with buffs and weakening enemies with debuffs. Her EX Skill “Ethereal Pulse” increases the party’s Brave, and the effect will keep going on while the skill is active. It’s powerful and useful, but leaves her open to attacks, so there’s a risk involved, too.
So both Yoshi-P and Kitase wants to add Blitzball to XIV because they think it would be a cool thing to do.
Yoshi-P also wants to do something with XV when it releases like they did with LR and he's talking with Tabata about it so count on Noctis showing up in XIV around the end of the year.

Got this from a buddy.
What japanese players think of the beta build of Dissidia Arcade at the location tests thus far. Lightning and Cloud looks to be the most played characters.
I got Thundaja in FFRK. It took some time and about 30 mythril (exploiting the extra ability or attack that comes after losing against Anima) to win, but I got it!
Though I'd probably have only used 20 if I didn't have a really bad day a week ago.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
Now where is a game featuring her?.... Grumble grumble.
