Now I wonder if they added more endings than that.
Though what other endings could you have than "hooray, Rapthorne is dead, hero gets friendzoned!" and "hooray, Rapthorne is dead, hero marries princess!" along with "hooray, Rapthorne is dead, hero marries Jessica!"
I can't think of adding any other endings that wouldn't be too similar to the first example.
Don't forget, Red's a proper party member now.
I sure said that!Hero saves world, is renamed Erdrick.
Hero receives Gohan's costume and defends Earth as Super Saiyaman.
Hero embraces grandfather's lineage, decides to go on a journey of discovery to embrace his heritage. Scales are involved.
Probably not any of these, Chronicles of the Cursed King always was concerned with romance above all else.
I did some investigating online and apparently both the Normal and "True" endings can potentially get Jessica-variants.
Chadaman linked the "True" Ending. From what I read online, the "Normal Ending" goes with a more Maybe Ever After vibe.

but HOW?Dragon Quest VII and VIII just showed up on Amazon.
december 31 2016
...why does that sound like a placeholder date?
They both got confirmed to be localized during Nintendo director. VII for next Summer and VIII presumably for Late-Fall/Winter.
Is it just me, or did Jessica and Yangus get new voice actors? I'm watching clips on Youtube, and they seem a bit... different.
but HOW?edited 20th Dec '15 4:55:15 AM by LordofLore

Man it's almost like Square of japan knows what people really like
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Ah, now I remember why I never finished DQ IX.
Because it's never obvious whether you've got a fighting chance or are horribly underlevelled.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.I never had a problem with any boss or dungeon outside certain grotto enemies.
but HOW?Eh, it's probably my own fault. I've always preferred to make an interesting party than a generic one, but that doesn't mean it's effecient.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Just abuse alchemy. That should fix most things.
Or just hunt Metal Slimes.
Or abuse job changing to get easy extra skill points, swap jobs and then dump them to your preferred skills.
Or train up a skill in one job for the sole purpose of getting a specific technique to use with any job. COUGHmartialartistCOUGHpsychupCOUGHCOUGH
I've never seen the point of Psych UP in any major boss battle that involves either stun attacks, or disruptive wave. I recall one boss where I must have spent several turns trying to get more tension, and every time, he'd knockdown that same character.
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television.Don't bosses usually have a pattern to how often they'll use it?
Often you can pull off one or two psychs and use the tension before the boss wipes your party of buffs.
In IX though you can get that ridiculous scroll that lets you carry tension between fights...
wait what?
scroll?
is that an end game item?
And millions of teenage crushes are suddenly vindicated.
