So, as a fan of crime dramas and rap, I have noticed a distinct lack for a trope entry to document a new generation of organized crime. The Yardies refers to an old style of Carribian-British black gangsters, with their style of dress and organization, but in the recent decade, both in real life and on screen and in music, there is a new style that has emerged. The Roadman. I don't necessarily think it needs to be a new trope, but rather, we might expand the article for the yardies, renaming it as the title suggests, Yardies And Roadmen.

Roadmen dress in more skinny fit clothes, puffer jackets and athletic clothes, with hoods and masks on to make harder to identify individuals. They listen to and make Drill Music. While I do lump them with Yardies, who were primarily from the West Indies, Roadmen come from many backgrounds, from African and middle-eastern immigrants, second generation black and mixed race Britons, to white brits and other Europeans.

Film depictions of Roadmen include:

I haven't seen Ill Manors, Bullet Boy or the Kidulthood movies yet to give full comments on them w/r/t representation of the culture.
