Ninjago: Dragons Rising Thread (Sequel to Ninjago: Master of Spinjitzu)

I looked to see if there were any Ninjago threads, and it looked like to most recent one hadn’t been posted in since Late 2021.

Not wanting to necropost (did I use that right? ^^"), I decided to make a thread for the new series succeeding the original 15 seasons of Ninjago that ended in 2022!

As for news, we got the reveal of Season 2, and we also know from the official website that it should be releasing either around or on April 4th!

Part 1 of Season 2 has officially released in English! ^^

No explanation on Cinder's connection to Ash.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we get more info on their connection during Part 2/The Source Tournament. Especially since Tox has been leaked for the summer sets and Ash originally appeared in Season 4/Tournament of Elements.

I am wondering how the rest of the Wu-Cru will bring back Kai and Bonzle without doing another Blood Moon ritual.

Just cauch up on first part of season 2. Liked it even more than the first.

I kinda had my doubts about Ras as the new Big Bad or The Heavy until his master is revelated, but he has easily won me over and is now among my favorite villains in the franchise.

Chen gave Garmadon the Lord title, so who gave Ras the Lord title? Beatrix?

Probably either Beatrix or his Master.

Slightly off topic, I’ve heard theories that Ras’ master is either the Source Dragon of Strength or the Source Dragon of Motion, but regardless, I really hope that it just isn’t the Overlord or some reincarnation of him. Especially since his portrayal in Crystalized was… bad, to say the least.

Also, I really hope that either Season 2 Part 2 or Season 3 picks up the plot thread of Sora using her tech powers to make Arin think he used Object Spinjitzu against Lord Ras, because considering how things went for Arin in S2P1, this could make a considerable rift between them, and by extension the rest of the Ninja/Wu-Cru.

Given we learn Ras first encountered his master when he was a child, it is pretty unlikely its the Overlord (which was actually theory I myself had before sligthly more details were revelated) or any old villain. Granted original show did have time travel, so it isn’t flat out imposible.

Judging by the red colour when Ras talks to his master it isn't the Overlord who has pink, purple, black and gold as his colours.

The biggest tragedy Ra's faced when his minifigure lost the arm printing in-between waves of sets.

In the show his new outfit has black sleeves but you can't really tell that he is wearing black sleeves on his minifigure.
