10000 Monkey Genocide

Monkey 8877 played Donkey Kong IRL with Monkey 1 (8877 as Mario, 8875 as Pauline, and 1 as Donkey Kong).

8877 got crushed by the barrels.

8875 died of heartbreak because her boyfriend got crushed to death.

1 lived to tell the tale (as he wouldn’t die for another few years judging by the rate in which we are killing the monkeys).

Monkey 8876 already died according to the guy who posted before me.

Monkey 8872 was executed for the deaths of 8877 and 8875 (1 framed 8872 for killing those two monkeys.)

8874 tried to get revenge on 1 but couldn't win

8873 started a CIA-backed military dictatorship South America, but was later executed by the CIA when his interests didn’t match their own.

8872 was launched from a cannon, dying from impact three posts later

8871 slipped on a banana peel right out of a skydiving plane without a parachute.

8870-8867 all got swatted with a monkey swatter

8866 got squished by 8872.

Monkey 8860-8865 are sent on a mission to space to find the NASA space probe: Infinity. Unfortunately for them, it has been taken by the devious villain Zartog. Zartog isn't a very nice alien and kills all of the monkeys. The failure to stop Zartog from getting Infinity means that he invades Earth without impunity. In the resulting chaos, Monkeys 8856-8859 are killed.

Monkey 8855: Tries to recreate that scene in the movies where the protagonist dives through a glass window. Turns out it doesn't work like in the movies — 8855 is cut into pieces by the razor-sharp glass shards all over his body.

8847 to 8854 got hit by the flying window shards, and died from their wounds after bleeding too much.

Monkey 8846's head asplode because he tried to count how many Donkey Kong Country references there were so far.

8845 and 8844 got sucked into a black hole that's gone rogue

8843 got caught in a plasma bombardment and was glassed with the surrounding land.

8838 through 8842 attempted to recover 8843's body, but the extreme heat, one that's almost comparable to standing directly on the sun's surface, kills them before they could even reach him.

8837 attempts to reach 8843's body via digging an underground tunnel, but is eaten by a Digger Zombie.

Monkey 8836: Attempted to retrieve 8843's body via a drone. Accidentally flies it into himself and is shredded by the rotors. Oops.

8835, though wearing a protective suit, died due to complications regarding the atmosphere of the plasma bombardment site. Turns out, there was a tiny hole in his suit, that even his crew didn't notice.

8834 had so little empathy it was fatal

8833: Bob is not allowed to kill monkeys by turning them into rules.

Monkey 8832 was killed by ten million pounds of sludge from New York and New Jersey.

8831 tried to save the other 8830 by sacrificing themselves

8830 was silenced by the local government for being a vocal member of their local communist party

There were 10000 monkeys at the start and the last monkey to die was number 8830. Therefore, we have actually killed 1171 monkeys as of this post, meaning there were 1170 monkeys we've killed when you posted, not 8830, mathematically speaking.

8820 to 8829 got nuked by the Tsar Bomba, much to their obliviousness.
