Which female character can you fully get every conversation with at the earliest point in the game.

Let’s check notes. I’ve been able to access every one of Rosalinde’s conversations by the end of act 3.

Meaning its completely possible for Alain to get married before setting foot in Bastoria.

I think assuming there is canon partner is kinda "Eeeh, why would it matter?" Like Scarlet, Eltoline, Roselinde all get lot of focus. But there is also lot of other options with surprising amount of content you wouldn't expect.

(also it comes across as you trying to claim your favorite ship is also canon hence its somehow "best")

I mean technically speaking, the canon one hasn't been officially stated. For all we know, he canonically gives the Ring to Govil or whatever.

That's what I mean yeah. Unless there is sequel, there isn't really "canon", just writers having their own favorites

I can't even imagine what a sequel for this game would be like considering the good ending results in the Zenoirans being allowed to finally enter the Beyond. It's not like there are any other ancient evils running around.

I mean we know there's other continents.

Not that this is ever getting a sequel coz Vanillaware dont make those.

Yeaaah. At best maybe they do different game that is hinted to be in same world but on another continent? In which case it'd be unlikely for questions like that to be answered

Kinda let down that the Fevrith Archive doesn't mention anything about this "Divine Dragon". Could be interesting to see different religions being tackled. Though I believe this exist only because Cornia's symbol is the Unicorn and Drakenhold felt the need to further distance themselves from their rival nation.

I mean Gilbert's combat dialog keeps referring to the dragon worship

Alain becomes a Fallen Hero and invades another continent, forcing a new group to fend off the brutality of the Fevrith Empire.

Mostly because that's the story in Ogre Battle and this game is basically a love letter to it

As for who is "Canon" it's silly not to see Scarlett as the Developers' Desired Date. The fact that the game leans into so many Childhood Friend Romance tropes the real surprising thing is that it lets you avert it.

Personally I'd never touch it. I like the image of Berengaria dragging Alain by the collar.

Remember I said THEORY. It can be wrong or pointless in the end but still fun to try to solve unanswered questions and loose ends.

It would be a very interesting colab project to try to figure out how early we can fjnish all the rapport conversations. Which is how the theory got born.

With that out of the way, so far its looking like Yunifi is potentially the best archer in the game. Having True Sight, anti armor, and anti flying in the same kit combined with having a bow with jacked up crit rates already equipped is no joke.

She can fill up quite a few roles in one package, great for if one of your squads has a glaring weakness. Just make sure she has a tank with her.

Being very likeable personality wise certainly adds points, even if I like to poke fun at her for that whole I expect six kids out of you bit. That’s some serious thirst there bucko.

Been having a lot of success with an Alain/Scarlet/Oclyis/Aramis/Rosalinde comp so far. Its got a lot of good stuff in it. Being an obscenely hard nut to crack, coverage against lots of enemy types, debuffing, and raw damage means most enemy teams outright die in one fight with little to no damage in return.

Of course the problem is that Alain doesn't have the rizz of Destin going "Look, I toppled the empire, I'm not taking the crown, I'm off to go topple another bigger empire, peace out"

I was talking March of the Black Queen since the story behind that is the titular Black Queen defended her kingdom from a bunch of other kingdoms invading her, ended up annexing them and the ordeal so thoroughly broke her she wound up becoming a despot.

Always thought that backstory was far more interesting than anything we got in the actual games.

I haven't actually finished the game yet but hey.

I was replaying Albion and it finally hit me that Nigel is voiced by Dimitri

it is fun how many valid combo teams you can find I have to say. I accidentally found another good combo when I made room to shift in albion characters to one team and reused elf sister in another team :'D

I think every team comp is a counter to some other team comp, the only question is how often does one's counter come up.

Then again I made a team specifically to counter Werefoxes consisting of Hodrick and Berengaria (My overall strongest unit) as frontline tanks and Rolf, Leah and Yunifi as the truestrike brigade and then they all got slaughtered by the first set of werefoxes I set them after.

it would be interesting to see how my team does in online colosseum, but based on defensive records, that's never been triggered. And getting to pick your opponents as attacker means its rather easy to avoid ones you are unsure about

So here is something I'm confused about: is that All Just a Dream trope on the page a misunderstanding or something? Like isn't that how the post game "switch covenant" thing works, or something? I haven't heard anything about rapports being changed if you do covenant or are on specific spot in story

I’m finding that Ramona is a solid Rogue buddy. Set your tactics on Restore to lowest PP and watch your Rogue be an extra annoying dodge tank.

I thought the Thief evade was pretty Broken at first, before realizing of course there would be limits and counters.

But later on I realize that yeah it's pretty Broken.

Thieves stay pretty good, although an enemy Witch being able to make any attack a truestrike can be scary.

Witches being a piece of the Glocester Death Star comp. Glocester + Shaman + Witch = deleted row.

But yeah best character in game, besides Ramona, is Mandrin.

Realized from scenes and website, Berengeria is considered one of more important characters huh. I had kinda just thought of her as cool recruit in Drakehold section x'D

Something else I'm curious about: If you mess up in online ranked colosseum, is it basically impossible to catch up unless everyone else also messes up?

Its bit confusing to me in that you can just do boring thing and fight easy npcs each time to keep up battle points and win streak, so it kinda seems like online colosseum is partially to test your builds and partially to just grind coins since you can keep yourself at rank 1 permanently just by picking easy fights
