It's funny how they try to dissuade the usage of the gamebreaking Harmomy units and yet they're gonna release a new 5* one next patch.

Also while Acheron need to function with 2 Nihility units to get the free damage boost, whales can just get around that with her E2 since it cuts the requirement to 1 Nihility, so they can slot a dedicated Harmony unit. At least for those without her E2, the trial Aven we can play as in the middle of 2.1 allow us to get a preview of his entire kit, and his ult includes a debuff, so he's already tailored for Acheron teams by being a hybrid sustain-support who can add a stack for Acheron ult, but then again, Fu Xuan can support with buffs too (but she doesn't have debuff to help battery Acheron's ult IIRC).

I don't think they're trying to discourage harmony overall. They just want to make sure that a variety of units have uses

The fight just does not like single target... any form of single target. Silver Wolf, all Hunt characters, all Harmony characters, Hook, and so on.

Got through the Dewlight Pavillion and the sandpit model really stands out as a highlight so far

The Welt and Acheron convos are really limp without any sense of context for the emotions they wanted me to have

I think it's more what Hylarn said, they encourage players to build a variety of units (even if its in an incomplete way) instead of trying to brute-force all content with a very small number of hyper-invested units. Pure Fiction already is a step in that direction with its huge AOE/Erudition focus.

I can't speak for the upper echelons of MOC, but I know that partially building some units I had in store like Fire TB, Serval or Xueyi helped me get through some tough content that had been walling me (Like Swarm Disaster for Xueyi).

It's also as I see it a way to dissuade players from only relying on tier lists. Here, low tier units like Asta, March or TB are rather efficient (and freely available). It's not really that the challenge is unbeatable, it's more that many might have neglected the adequate tools in favor of shinier, more exclusive ones.

Yes, and it's also not too kind with the absolute top-tier PF units that are Herta and Himeko as you won't get many opportunities to trigger their FUA.

You don't need to use their followup, all you need to do is have a mutli target attack during the dice phase. There is no turn requirement at all, all you gotta do is not die and do some damage and you win.

When he comes around in the Mo C, then you will need to look into a specific blast team.

The Trailblazer (both of them) and March can survive the dice mechanic without much issue, Asta can also survive though she’s tad more RNG reliable and Natasha can survive if March gives her constant shielding.

The way I see it, this fight has also been designed to be tricky but winnable with the f2p units you are given if you know how to strategize beyond blitzing. And I can’t say I dislike it because this means that newer players can engage with the story without having to wait for a specific unit to rerun to get around a boss fight.

I do find it funny though that Acheron is not a good unit for this fight because of her unique energy mechanic.

Acheron’s skill is 3 target, she is fine.

Dan, Hook and Qingque are are bad out of the F 2 Ps.

I mean, yeah, she will survive but you won’t get to use her ultimate as often as because of the way it charges up.

QQ is fine, she has an AOE on standard (maybe) and ult (always).

The gamba is what I was getting at, you waste your skill points the others would need to use their multitarget attacks.

Aside from that, Qingque is Quantum in a fight that punishes bringing supports like Silver Wolf or Sparkle so she’s outperformed by Serval in general.

I mean...if you play QQ without expecting to win every skill point gamble, you're playing her wrong. She also has a 25% chance to make a follow-up even on her normal attack at E4, so if you're lucky (there's a pattern here) she won't even need a skill point!

(Also after doing the quest add me to the "Make Siobhan playable please" crowd)

For specifically that fight, the fact that there is even a gamble is bad. Just that fight specifically. You get 1 attack for every party member and that is it.

Actually, you can use the Ultimate before and after using an attack or skill so characters with Ao E Ultimates and attacks get two chances to roll the dice while characters with an Ao E ultimate and utility skill like March and Fire!TB can lock-in the result.

Either way, Qingque is bad for this one because you want to keep your skill points in check for everyone to get their ultimates going if they need to and her luck based combat style gets in the way of that.

I brought Yanqing to the fight and reliably won the gamble for him using this with his skill granting him followup after ult lmao

I don't know you like playing Yanqing. Have you already tried him with the free trial Aven before the boss? Like can he shield Yanqing enough to maintain his buff?

I will admit that despite not really liking her story use so far I have become a Kafka Stan (I pulled her because I just wanted a reliable Lightning unit and won her 50/50).

Extremely reliable and rather self sufficient.

Okay, finished the story. Aventurine's arc was great from start to finish, I'm more ambivalent on Acheron thus far. The Gallagher reveal is extremely neat but I'll wait for them to land the reveal in the next update since it just left a bunch of questions hanging on him. Firefly stuff only annoyed me when I found out about the secret message at her base in Dream's Edge after completing the story because now I agree the emotions are being laid on too thick from the writers.

I like the idea of the POV switches in theory but having to go back to the teleports all over again as Trailblazer in the new areas is kind of annoying.

People have been saying that The Reveal of Gallagher being connected to Death was foreshadowed the moment he mentioned the number thirteen, as Death is the 13th Major Arcana in the Tarot Cards. This makes one wonder if Tarot Motifs is going to have a huge factor to play later on... *inhales copium* Persona collab when?

Let it just be said that one of my pet peeves is the Small Reference Pools that mean any nod to Tarot Arcana is immediately linked to Persona. That franchise only adopted Tarot Motifs as a Jojos Bizarre Adventure reference, dammit! Why do you think that abstracted representations of consciousness as an outside being one can use to fight for oneself became a thing?!

But with that said, I now approve of Firefly because of all the memes of the Trailblazer only agreeing to get romantic if she puts the Sam armor back on. And of course, all the memes apologizing to Aventurine for not recognizing his game.

Kaneko and Araki did an interview together ages ago where they talk about how Personas weren’t influenced by Stands I recall.

The Honkai team has been visiting creators/Studios that have influenced Honkai Star Rail, and you guessed it, that included Persona when they went to Altus during December.(Also Nasuverse and Trails)
