Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

I could see an AI script being... passable at best, if only because that's where AI art in general seems to plateau once you iron out the weirdness (which, incidentally, is what tended to make early AI art interesting before it became same-y ArtStation fodder). Definitely not ideal in any case.

Question, if I may: Do we have a reason within this movie for the Maximals having animal alt-forms...?

I seem to recall that the original Beast Wars had it that doing so allowed them to fend off overbearing energon radiation, but that doesn't seem to be in place here—at least within the "present" of the movie.

Have they just been trying to hide in the wilderness, and thus blend in there?

Eh, can't say I like Mirage's dialogue and whatnot but maybe it'll be better when I actually see it.

Its Pete Davidson. Of the cast. The cast is really great and guys who have decades in the business even in voice acting like Ron Perlman. Except him.

Hmm... I dunno, the trailer gave me that Bayformers vibe even though I know this is coming from Bumblebee.

First reviews are out, and well, it seems it's better than the bayformers at least.

Reaction I found was people found it meh. Better than Bay's films but not that great.

I still like the first Bay film but not the others Bayformers. So maybe I will end up liking this one more then most.

So, Bumblebee is still the more well regarded one, isn't it?

Honestly. No lie. I like the first film too. It was fun watching it in the cinema.

Oh yeah. Fast X, spiderverse and little mernaid are before it. And afterwards is flash and Indiana Jones.

A podcast I listened to quoted a tweet that's depressingly accurate: "Whoever’s in charge of release dates for Paramount needs to find god. Dungeons and Dragons between John Wick and Mario? Transformers between Spider Verse and Flash? And now Mission Impossible the week before Oppenheimer AND Barbie? Terrible at their job."

I would argue that MI is going to be the one to eat Oppenheimer's lunch... except Oppenheimer is going to kick MI out of all IMAX screens in the country.

As long as this gets even a slightly positive reception I'm going to see it. But I am prepared for it to be a flop.

Wait, so we won't see John Cena and the girl from Bumblebee?

Nope. Cena's busy with Fast and Furious, and she's got Spider-Verse.
