I'm a frequent contributor to the page for Starset and something that keeps me from going further on a certain page aspect, specifically the float box regarding related acts, is the last name of one of the band members. Specifically: DeChant. The markup used to prevent the last name from turning into a wiki word link breaks the formatting of the float box and I am at a loss of what to do in order to avoid this. There are several other names out there with similar spellings if I am aware correctly so hopefully this could also help for other pages with similar issues.

Open and close italic tags inside the name. Like this: De''''Chant

You can also put [=brackets and equals signs=] around text to cancel out any wiki coding that that text causes. DeChant is in brackets and equals, De Chant is not.

[up]I think that's "the markup used to prevent the last name from turning into a wiki word link" that they said broke the caption box (I'm assuming that's what they meant by the "float box"), hence why the person above you suggested a different workaround.

Twiddler's suggestion worked perfectly! And yeah, the brackets and equal signs were what I was mentioning. Thanks for the help!

[up] No prob!

[up][up] Float boxes are a different thing from caption boxes. They use the markup "floatboxright", and a single bracket to open and close. (See the "Float Box" folder on Text-Formatting Rules.) On Starset, "Influences" and "Related Acts" are listed inside float boxes.
