I love how Cody advices anyone, who to this day think that 300 is even remotely historically accurate, to just "read a book or something" (while adding: "Wow, i'm sorry man.").

Bumblebee, when the Transformers Movies decided to be good. It did not last.

I do disagree with him. I get where he's coming from, and being younger than me, the Bay movies are nostalgic to him. But I'll take a well made derivative movie over one that's got its own story to tell, but is awful. I agree when he says the movie borrows so much, this is literally Iron Giant but with Transformers. But by god im fine with that.

Also the family is endearing. I like a portrayal of a step-parent who is actually cool and nice.

On the topic, his page on the fan wiki is amazing

Ron is so outstandingly inoffensive, he still carries guilt over the fact he stole a box of Mallomars when he was going through puberty. Recently he has begun a relationship with Sally Watson, though to his frustration, he hasn't yet been accepted by Sally's daughter Charlie, who still isn't over the death of her father. Ron can, however, drive a station wagon like no other.

He finally reviewed The Bumblebee movie. Also, I disagree with Cody's view that the 1st Transformers movie is better than Bumblebee. While I also did watched that movie when it was first released, Bumblebee is still better since we have a human protagonist that is likable and not annoying, a plot that is easy to understand, no dumb jokes and a proper Transformer movie that honors it's source material.

I'm pretty impressed Pointlesshub holds such a controversial opinion about the transformers films. Everyone would get where the disagreements from such a view comes from but good on him for being confident in his views regardless.

After Bumblebee lured us into thinking Transformers Movie could be good, Rise of Beast returns for no one to watch.

In the late 90's America tried to make its own take on Godzilla. It did not end up well. But you know what they say. Time mends all wounds. Or at least nostalgia does.

I tried to rewatch that movie recently. It has some legit good set pieces and action beats. But every goddamn character is unsufferable except Jean Reno. Special mention to Hank Azaria's and Maria Pitillo where every line out of their mouth is awful and tanks legit good moments. Like, the bit at the end where they are in a taxi. It's great. Except whenever they cut back to these two chucklefucks.

At least that movie gave us the well received Godzilla animated series.

Thanks to this review I learned that France tested more nuclear bomb than the USA.

[up]As a kid during the 1990s, I remember seeing news channels reporting France has stop detonating Nukes in the Ocean with past videos from planes or helicopters recording the Nukes exploding. It was wild seeing something small enter the ocean and a giant wave coming out later.
