How do you link to individual posts on a forum thread?

Suppose there is a specific post I want to be able to lead to from elsewhere. I can give the link to the page itself, where my post would (hopefully) be visible by scrolling down, but then each time I'd have to say what I'm pointing to is below everything. It's not good for situations like wanting to say "yeah I posted something like this". Is there a way for a link to single out a specific post?

The timestamp of the post contains a permanent link to it. Just copy that. Example: your OP is this link.

The link only highlights the post though, as opposed to just showing that one post.

You're unable to show only the post. You basically are just going to a specific point in a topic.

It's how the forum is designed, for better or worse.
