Since Lindsay is on hiatus, I think it's time to give her show, Musical Splainin', its own spinoff thread.

Musical Splainin' is a podcast about musicals, theatre, and the occasional musical movie (mostly thanks to Covid), currently featuring Kaveh Taherian and Angelina Meehan as hosts.

This week: Elvis (2022), the movie about, who else, Elvis.

Followed. I'll probably wait until I've seen the film before I listen to the episode. The movie has been getting relatively good buzz, and even if it hadn't, Baz Luhrmann films are always a spectacle if nothing else.

I watched Xanadu a while back after their review, and while it isn't a masterpiece or anything, it wasn't all that terrible, and seemed undeserving of being the first Razzie.

I had actually never heard of Waiting for Guffman before the episode, but their review of it sparked my interest.

I can't help reading Waiting for Godot every time I see that title.

Musical 'Splaining is covering A Muppet Christmas Carol.

I am kinda amazed. I planned to watch this movie on Christmas like, a year ago. What a coincidence.

Literally saw it for the first time like two days before the episode dropped.
