I love that Akane can tell him to beat it because if she was a student any other school, she would get in trouble for that, but this is Arawaka. If Zensho complains about her or Taizen to Issho, he is the one who might get expelled.

You know, with the framing of the last page of 107, I suddenly don't feel like Maikeru is surviving this one.
I'd say there's a good chance Maikeru fails his promotion exam, because it serves to elevate the dramatic stakes of the story. It would make the rise to futatsume seem even more of an uphill battle.
Chap 103
When you are such an asshole that you even inspire your disciples to give you the middle finger.
On the flipside, I like how even though Zensho is an asshole, he falls right into the Arakawa way: selfish iconoclasts who do what they want, rules and societal expectations be danmed.
Also interesting that Taizen may as well have been a victim of abuse. Being made by his master to think feeling pain is the way to get to the top.
