Not sure if this tweet is credible, but apparently the release date is June 16.
Matt goes into great detail on his hands-on impression of the game & as well as his concerns.
I'm surprised that no 1 posted this yet, it's very well done. Maybe the most detailed video out of videos I've seen.
Oh yeah, I saw that. Forgot to post it, though.
This looks amazingly promising. I may just get it day one and play it with my boys. We own the entire cartoon series from the 90s and watch it together often! :D
Wow, that sounds great.
I was kinda lucky that my dad likes these comic book shows.
x 6: just as to add on: Nintendo South Korea eShop also lists the game as coming out June 16th.
If this is true, then it will likely be a shadowdrop during a Nintendo Direct, considering one is rumored for the day before.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Also 6-player multiplayer, local and online AND coming June 16th, 2022!

It's about time!
I'm surprised no one posted this yet.
New gameplay videos.
10 mins:
So has anyone played the game yet? I'm wanting to pick it up, but I've had a bunch to do lately.
SoundCloudI have played it on easiest. It's a lot of fun, and you can unlock new stuff for the characters overtime.
Only thing is, after playing through the story mode once, I tried to up the difficulty, only to be told I would have to restart from zero if I did that, resetting the whole game.

Completed a full co-op run. That was fine chaotic fun, a good rush of nostalgia with some additions like anti-airs and dodging to help smooth out the experience.
Taunting giving you free super is pretty busted. My group had a boss strategy down where some of us would fall back and taunt while the rest of us clowned on the boss with supers :p

I'm surprised no one posted this video from Thorgi's Arcade that came out a week ago.
That's because it was ironically posted in two different threads.
- The franchise TMNT thread in Western Animation (which had a little bit of a response).
- THE Fighting Game Thread in this fourm (with zero response).
I'll repost my handy follow-along:
- 8:42: The Roster
- 11:58: Alternate costumes, including Rise.
- 13:47: Venus de Milo deconfirmed for now, only because her "cooler" IDW counterpart needs more material.

I thought his video was going to be irritating but it was surprisingly well done.
It's too bad most of his video are over 20 mins. Too time consuming
Irritating in what way? Like in presentation or something else?
"It's just like... a series of overlapping curses..." - Flower Knight DakiniBoth, but in this case I was wrong.
Thorgi or whatever is his actual name is, sounds like a very nice guy. In a time where we're still plague by cynical & over critical Youtubers it's very refreshing to see someone optimistic for once.
I agree, I just took one brief look at the smattering of video recommendations on my Youtube feed and like 11/12 of them were negative in nature/tone based on splash image or title.
x5: That roster, both base and DLC, is pretty much perfect. I liked that TMNT Smash Bros. clone to a degree, but I thought the roster could've had way more, like Bebop and Rocksteady, Metalhead, Leatherhead and Usagi Yojimbo. (But I guess that game basing itself out of the 2007 movie might've made the task easier said than done?) Somehow pitch this to Nickelodeon and Arc System Works and we'll be set for life!
Incidentally, how come we haven't seen a video game with Usagi Yojimbo? Because an Usagi game modeled after either NieR: Automata or Ghost of Tsushima gameplay-wise would be a really easy sell IMO. I guess because he's 100% owned by Stan Sakai, one would have to receive his okay for anything like game appearances?
Reviving the topic, to mention that a game of "The last Ronin" was confirmed
Were there any TMNT games during the PS 1/N64 generation?
None that I can recall. On a different note, man it is wild to see how "Last Ronin" just took off in popularity. Now they're making a game based on it.
And apparently it's going to be a God of War clone (Turtle of War?) — the Norse version, that is. Expect our last Turtle Ronin to escort a little kid character (possibly Lita from the comics) because that's what older, grizzled veteran men do nowadays — they tour the world with a little girl (and it's almost always a girl) who helps teach him to feel again.

There were not. TMNT fell off hard after 1993, and various factors (the third movie’s failure, the end of the animated series, and Next Mutation not taking off) meant the series was effectively in pop culture hibernation until the 2003 series, with only the comics and very small toy runs still being active.
There's also the ultimate edition that comes with not only a strategy guide, but also a Shredder action figure and mini arcade replica.
Help me. I can't get it out of my head.
